    Larry was extremely unprofessional!!!…read more After filling out and paying a total of $120 in application fees Larry requested to inspect our current house where all 4 of us applicants currently lived and 1 of the applicants owned the house out right. Out of the 4 applicants 3 of us had listed the required prior rental references. Because 1 applicant was a home owner she had none. Larry didn't call any of our references (I checked with each company that we listed), but instead he requested to do an inspection of our current home? After thoroughly looking over every room, he then tried to tell us that some spackling on the wall in the kitchen was why he wouldn't rent to us because it was "damaged" -- which the home owner was always doing small renovation projects and it was NOT damaged! After we kept asking more questions about why he WOULDN'T rent to us (we had excellent credit/excellent rental history) he then tried to just convince us to get another car so we wouldn't have to move???? Which was so DAD of him to tell us to change our lifestyle since we all wanted to move to be closer to work so we could walk and bike and not drive. He then left our house in a hurry and didn't even shut the front door. After deciding not to rent from him because the entire required "inspection" was creepy and intrusive and something I've NEVER EVER experienced as a renter of 7 years, I found out that the property he was trying to rent to us wasn't even registered at the time with the City of Grand Rapids. After requesting an application fee refund since it technically wasn't a registered rental he just ignored every email and never refunded our money. When Larry saw that 1 applicant was a home owner and had no official rental history he should've called all 3 other applicants rental history references before requiring an intrusive and probably illegal inspection of our current home at the time. I am SO incredibly happy that we did NOT rent from Palmer Property LLC and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STEER CLEAR OF LARRY and his business Palmer Property Management -- he does not know what he's doing and is extremely unprofessional in every encounter we had.

We looked at many, many homes. We were picky, and because we have hectic schedules, we almost always gave short notice to see if we could go see a house. Yet, Scot always found a way to get us into a home, and never lost patience. We've worked with realtors, who after a while, start to get a little pushy. We had Scot and his agents (Marcy and Shelley) driving all over West Michigan to see homes with us for months. We never felt rushed. 616 Realty wanted us to find the right home. Then....lockdown due to COVID-19 happened. During this lockdown, to our surprise, we found our perfect home. Through virtual tours, emails, text messages, and pictures, we got to see the home and make an offer. Scot and his team guided us through what has to be one of the strangest times in Real Estate history. If you're looking for a Realtor/Broker to make the process of home buying as easy as possible, I cannot recommend 616 Realty enough.     DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!! READ BELOW BEFORE YOU RENT!…read more - We have had several issues with UPM and the maintenance department scheduling inspections without getting availability from us. We have a dog and we have requested several times to contact us before entering our house. They continue to ignore this and we are constantly having to take time off work to be home with our dog. One inspection I told them they were not allowed to enter my house because my dog was going to be home and I wasn't originally going to be able to be there but I was able to make it back to find them about to just enter my home regardless... - To make matters worse, good luck ever having a vendor or maintenance department person show up on time. I've had to take time off of work several times to get something fixed in our house just for them to not even show up... Which meant I had to schedule even more time to take off work for them to be there. - THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR REPAIRS... We are having an issue with our toilet leaking and they informed us that we would be charged if it was deemed that it from personal use. WHAT OTHER REASON WOULD A TOILET BE LEAKING. Scum bags just trying to take your money any way they can. - RENT INCREASES EVERY YEAR, THEY WILL INCREASE YOUR RENT EVERY YEAR THAT YOU STAY AT THEIR PROPERTY. - Bullshit fees (pet rent), they made us start paying $10 a month for some bullshit program that was "supposed to improve renting services" which literally does nothing, and we had to pay 1.5X 1 months rent for our deposit because their credit check utilizes a different fico score than normal which will always typically be way lower than your actual score.
