Please do not bring your loved on here, my family's experience was absolutely horrible. Id give…read morethis place no stars if I could. Our first incident was when we found a pair of rubber gloves left by my sister someone forgot about, we let it go. We decided to have my sister cremated. Daniel told us we would be able to see her right before they did it. Then the next day Matt told us it would be the last day we would see her because it just wasn't a good idea and because they were going to create her. The cremation never took place until the following day. So that was a day we technically could have went. Not only did a woman walk in thinking the room was the restroom while my mother was trying visit but her coffin broke twice. (probably because my sisters name wasn't outside the door nor did it have a sign or lock) She simply rested her hand on the lid and it fell. Her arm also fell from resting across her chest to her side. No one fixed it. My father had to rig it but unfortunately it didn't work. It fell again when I touched it. Zeimers never answers their phone or calls you back, and don't expect to get greeted at the door. We tried ordering necklaces but Matt didn't know the answers to most our questions, he kept having to call people while we sat and waited forever. We finally were able to pick out what we wanted then received a phone call saying the full name wouldn't fit on the jewelry. The day we went to pick up her ashes they handed us 3 damp blankets we insisted not be washed. I'm absolutely disgusted by all this, no family should have to deal with this on top of the pain of losing a loved one.

When we came in early to set up for my grandfather's memorial service, they made sure to periodically check on us to see if we needed anything or if they could be of service. From when we set up to the time we left, they were always easy to locate to answer any questions we came up with, and their answers were always very thorough and kind. They are clearly all very compassionate people, and they were absolutely willing to go above and beyond for us. Never have I felt so cared about by complete strangers. They also seem to have thought of anything a family could possibly need during this time; they had extra picture frames, easels to prop up either photos or small momentos, as many magnetic boards and magnets for pictures (or whatever else one may wish to display) as anyone could ever need, they made a lovely slideshow for us that was displayed throughout the entirety of the visitation period (they also put all of these images into a Shutterfly-style photobook for us for a more concrete momento), beautiful built-ins to create a more homey display, plenty of tables and other surfaces for smaller displays, there are Kleenex boxes and trash cans all over the place, a separate kitchen area for food and beverages that are brought in, and even a kids room upstairs. What also really wowed me was the package they gave us after the service: They gave us a reuseable bag with a DVD copy of the slideshow; thank-you cards we can send to the guests; the check-in book everyone signed as they entered; a copy of the newspaper that printed my grandfather's obituary; the leftover programs; a folder with photos of all the floral arrangements that were sent, along with separate close-up photos of the cards that came with them; a list of all the food that was brought in and who provided it; an incredible folder with information on grief support groups, a phone number to call if you need help understanding how to handle things like notifying social security, veterans benefits, etc., and a checklist to help families remember everything they have to take care of when a loved one passes; and my favorite thing, which I had no idea we'd receive: a DVD copy of the service, which they recorded for us. The home itself is also in impeccable condition. It has clearly been recently remodeled. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and every room down to the stalls in the bathroom are large enough to be handicap accessible. The only complaint my family had was that after the service, we were given a paper with a message written on it from a family member who had reached out. At first, I loved that they did this, but upon further inspection, it appeared that this message was left 4 days before the service was held. We really wished that they would have called us when they got the message, or at the very least, given it to is when we first arrived. Other than that small factor, this was the absolute most perfect memorial service I could have ever imagined for my grandfather thanks to Browning. From the bottom of our hearts, my family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the employees and owners of Browning Funeral Home. Without your kindness and preparedness, my grandfather's memorial service would not have been the beautiful event that it was. Thank you.
