They did not finish certain contracted items on the work order, claiming that we would not be charged for them. Later when asking for payment, Lance threatened to do "demo" in the house unless we paid for the items he didn't finish or flat out lied about doing. A worst case choice for contractor.

Jim came out on time and worked his magic. Several hours later the counter top looked like new. We then did the correct thing and brought this to the contractors attention and communicated that this would be an additional charge for the extra work. The contractor didn't like the price, rightfully so, he found another company that better fit his budget. The problem is this contractor then goes on to speak badly on our company as if we should have gone along and paid for 75% of his project. The fact that he stated we should have paid for it anyway shows this mans dishonesty and selfishness. I would definitely never recommend this contractor to anyone. Simply, can not be trusted.

In 2019, I hired 4 Diamond Construction (4DC) as the general contractor for a shopping center remodel project in Concord - a project that I managed for my firm which owned the center. The project was a bit tricky as it had to be performed while keeping the tenants open and happy but in the end, the finished product was spectacular with everyone involved being very happy with the results including the tenants, the design team and my senior management. 4DC's attention to detail and their pro-active management style made my job much easier and inspired confidence to hire them again which I did in 2020 to manage an even larger shopping center remodel project in Manteca. The Manteca project was complex in that it included not only a facade remodel but also a structural retrofit to address systemic issues with the original design. Construction was planned and performed while keeping the tenants open and happy, some of which are large national chains which can be very strict with regard to obstructions to customer access. This particular project also required extensive coordination with the design team to address existing conditions and design issues that arose during construction. Again, the finished product exceeded our expectations and all parties involved were happy and proud of the results. I would not hesitate to hire 4DC again for any project, large or small, and would trust Mario and his team to manage any type of construction for me in the future.
