A maintenance worker came up Ann's showed us how, but when we returned from skiing, they had actually changed the faucet to make it easier to understand! The food is wonderful here and our hotel room is lovely.

So many tables already reserved but no one sitting there yet- it kind of stunk for us, and for other hungry guests. So we ordered food from the bar and sat in chairs by the fire. The food was tasty and filling- satiated our hungry desires. The pig tongue starter was strange but the curry soup shooter was nice. Most everything was "typical Swiss" with hardly any spice. I recommend the Alpina specials- the two of us sampled both plates. But the price was a bit high- over 150CHF- for both me and my mate. The bartender served our drinks and meals- he was nice and sociable too. Come to Alpina by the banhof for a room for the night or for food!

The Steinbock hotel is ok, typical Swiss style (=nothing fancy or modern), but very friendly staff…read moreand a good breakfast buffet. My biggest complaint: the heating - I had no chance to get the room temperature to a normal level, despite having turned the thermostat fully down. Only opening the window helped. The room key system is a hassle. If you leave the hotel you can't just drop your keys or take them with you, but have to go to a board on a wall by the reception and exchange the room for a house key - a bit dated for the 21st century. Parking garage is a pain to get in/out, featuring a steep ramp and a garage door opener (key operated wall switch) you can't reach from your car. The hotel has wireless internet... though, one of those systems you have to constantly login again - not user friendly Last thing there is a main street in the front - make sure to book a room facing the back or is on the top floor.

Quaint little place between the train station and Madrisa Land…read more It was a nice hotel for our ski weekend to spend! The rooms were quite nice, the bathroom was tops, but the breakfast was small, and needed a restock. Their area for ski gear was surprisingly high-tech, but we didn`t find the sauna until we already left! I would come back here- only 2 minutes from the bus stop to get to Madrisa Land where we skied and skied a lot!
