I don't normally review boutiques and jewelry stores, but had a wonderful experience that stuck out to me here. I was window shopping and not planning on buying anything, so I took my sweet time going to each and every display case. No one followed me around, but the owner approached only a couple times to ask if I needed anything. It was a perfect balance of welcoming but not being pushy at all. I ended up seeing too many things I liked, which normally never happens. Fell in love with Suzanne Kalan's designs, which made me, a student, a little bitter upon seeing the prices. However, the owner was so friendly and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all asking her to see a couple of pieces up close. She wrote the designer's name on a card for me for future reference when I make the $$$. I ended up getting a pair of earrings I love that were several magnitudes cheaper but kind of similar to the pricier designs. The owner was considerate enough to curate similar styles in multiple price points, and she even told me I could come back and return the earrings if they caused an allergic reaction (so glad they didn't!) since the metal was not sterling silver or gold. I rarely find a jewelry store with pieces I like (dainty minimalist), let alone a truly sweet owner who seems to love what she does. Will definitely come back if I find myself in Saratoga again. I'm not sure I find the "$$$" accurate for this business, since the prices vary so much. There were cute pieces for children here too that were reasonably priced. read more

My family and I were visiting the area from nyc for a relaxing birthday getaway. We walked in and were not greeted so I browsed for a good 20 min and was planning to purchase a few pieces. Not one employee nor the owner for that matter addressed my presence. Not a good look. There were several customers being attended to and even those that walked in after I did, and they also were helped. This was my first time there and I must say, as a fellow business owner in nyc, that is not the way to do business. Customer service was lacking. Perhaps if they knew me personally, they would have been helpful or even said hello, based on the energy and vibe of the store, this was pretty obvious. I approached several counters to further look at pieces, some where employees with customers were standing and my goodness, take that glare and put it back where it came from. I'm used to shopping at boutiques on Madison Ave and never have I ever experienced such a feeling of judgement with a dash of ignorance on top. Word of advice ladies, don't judge a book by it's cover. I ended up walking out due to the lack of customer service and just basic social skills. In my experience, they did not make me feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. Had this not happened, I was ready to make a pretty nice hefty purchase. Too bad. read more

Wow. It is SO nice to walk into a store and be greeted by courteous, professional and FRIENDLY (!) employees who clearly love their jobs (instead of hoping the self absorbed teenage staff elsewhere will actually mumble something resembling a hello, sulking in the back of the store ignoring you because they just have to be texting their friends the entire time you are trying to shop) Well, you won't have that problem here! A truly stellar selection of artisan and fine jewelry with a knowledgeable staff well versed in gemstones and the intimate details of the lines they carry....They carry a complete price range, so there is definitely something for everyone on my gift list (and of course something for me too, have to reward myself for being so darn thoughtful) I will be back! Wonderful shop! I always pop in everytime I'm in Saratoga. Usually it's my next stop after I get my mousse cake and iced chai from Ms.Londons :D I was interested in buying this GORGEOUS sterling silver ring. I was helped by Maggie. She was amazing. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I don't wear rings alot and havent gotten my ring size. All along I was wearing very loose/big ring sizes like a 7 when I was really a 5 or a 6 depending on which finger. She took the ring size of each of my fingers. She was a good listener as well. I left the store without purchasing because I needed to think about it. Before I left Maggie made a card for me and wrote down the ring size, price, name, and wrote the size of my ring and the weather. The weather at times does effect if your ring gets tighter or looser. She dropped so many truth gems , and wrote them all down on the card. But I called in yesterday to place an order for that exact ring. 4 days after my birthday. It was easy for me, because I read off the card to the sales associate that shipped out my ring. Thanks Maggie!!! I know you werent there when I placed my order on the phone days later, but you made my choice so much easier. I highly recommend Silverado. The variety and the craftsmanship is absolutely impeccable. They have a vast selection, and I guarantee you, you will find something(s) you like. read more

I have never purchased anything from Silverado but every time I come to Saratoga I go to this store. They have a great selection of jewelry that I am pretty sure anyone could find something that they like. My favorite designer that they carry is King Baby. His stuff has an upright case with a silver crown on top and that tells you that he has cool stuff. The best piece by him is the oversize silver rose ring. It is large and heavy. I lost a large cheap silver thumb ring about 10 years ago and I still miss it. King Baby's Rose Ring would be the perfect replacement. I highly suggest checking Silverado out. The employees are super nice and the aesthetic of the shop it great. read more

I used to go to school here and loved the selection. I came back this weekend for reunion and nothing has changed! They still had some of the stud earrings I used to stock up on in college. One of the sales people (I didn't get her name) helped me find just the right pair of earrings in my price point. She did an excellent job and was very helpful - not at all pushy, which i appreciate. Gorgeous jewelry selection made by super talented artisans in the US like Misa Jewelry and Jamie Joseph, with prices varying from $20 to $1000+. I used to come in here all the time and "window shop" then tell my boyfriend what I liked, but I stopped going because every time I set foot in there I was constantly followed by a sales associate--even though I made it clear I was browsing and didn't need help--which made me feel unwelcome. Or like they suspected I was going to steal something and needed to be watched closely. Anyway I follow the various artisans on Instagram now and don't go into Silverado anymore. read more

As a manager of a jewelry store myself I am tough to impress. This place was gorgeously set up the displays were beautiful and they have an eye for great design. I disagree with the $$$ price rating. I think overall they are very affordable for the type of jewelry they carry. I wanted almost everything in there! And the staff was super friendly and not put off at all when I said I was in the same sort of business. Good for everything but traditional bridal this is the type of store that when you wear their jewelry you are guaranteed to have people ask you where you got it! read more

I love shopping with this business. I am a store manager for another prominent business known for excellent customer service and am often disappointed with my service experiences at retail shops. I have bought gifts here for many years and also bought jewelry for myself. My entire family shops here and can vouch for the attentive sales staff and personal service we receive at Silverado. We are always amazed at the depth of knowledge of the staff that seems to know the origin and details of all the artists that make the beautiful collections of jewelry. My daughter recently had to bring a piece of jewelry back that had broken and the return was handled expertly and promptly. I send many visitors to Saratoga there to shop and people thank me for the recommendation. I personally think they are one of the most beautiful and well-managed shops I know of. read more

I was travelling from a hour away to this store. I planned on buying something for sure I just was going to get there right as they closed. The woman on the phone said hey just call us when you get into Saratoga so we know you're definitely coming and we will stay open a little later for you. I expected to walk in and just have a manager there, no, all of the sales associates stayed to help, that really impressed me. Not a hint of bitterness on their faces for having to stay late a few minutes to help me. It took me no more than 5 mins. to choose the ring I wanted to buy for my boyfriend. All of the sales associates smiled and said thank you. I am truly impressed with my experience here. Now I would not suggest taking advantage of their hospitality but for a business to just say hey were here for you was something special. That is hard to find. This is my fiancé's favorite jewelery shop due to their style selection. We live across the country now, but Silverado was able to work with me remotely to select and purchase the engagement ring that won her over. The Silverado staff was extremely friendly and helpful. During one of the most stressful decisions a guy make, I couldn't have asked for better support. I have no suggestions for improvement. I send my highest praise to Silverado. read more

I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping last night and found the perfect set of earrings for my mother. My saleswoman was in the process of ringing me out when the manager came over and told her the price on my earrings was wrong. There was another sticker on the bottom of the stand that had a price double to what was marked on the earrings! The saleswoman mentioned to the manager that there was a price on display and the manager said it didn't matter, the price was double. I told them to keep the earrings. Afterward, I was angry that I didn't make them honor the displayed price. So much for the customer always being right! I won't be shopping there again... read more
