Just had the most amazing facial at the Emerald Spa. The staff are wonderfully kind and knowledgeable. I have sensitive skin and often end up looking like a tomato after a facial, but not here. My skin is glowing and feels baby soft...and not red at all! Would definitely book in again the next time I'm in Corner Brook. read more

We enjoy going for seasonal pedicures! It's a step above other options for a quality spa experience. Staff are professional, kind, and good at what they do. Cost is a bit high though but worth it for a treat. My only complain is nail polish choices are too few for the size of spa it is - I'm told staff have it in the other building - but that doesn't help the rest of us ‍ read more

Worst Experience EVER! I was in NL on holidays and needed my hair colored. I asked around and was told this was the place to go! Will let me tell you it was NOT! The stylist was extremely nice and had tons of experience but she messed up and that's ok, we all do but my issue is with how the situation was handled. After she turned my hair purple and tried to fix it I walked away with hair I could have gotten by purchasing a $15 box of dye at the local store and charged me over $150!! I expressed my disappointment to the manager and she refused a refund and said the stylist did what she could. Best of luck if you choose to go there. read more

I've never reviewed anything on Yelp before but created an account specifically for this experience. My partner booked a couple's day here for us after a stressful few months. She called in and specifically requested a package for couples, and was recommended a package that got us each a massage, facial, and pedicure. The worker took both of our names and contact information, and told her we are booked into the loft (once during the initial call, and later in a follow up call). Fast forward to almost a month after booking and we arrange a babysitter for our children and travel to Corner Brook ( we live approximately one hour away). When we arrive, we're told that only my partner is booked in for all three activities, they have no record of me being involved, and can possibly "squeeze me in" for an hour and a half for "something." Needless to say, after eagerly anticipating this day for weeks, planning a romantic day together and planning to also buy gift packages for Christmas for family members, we were angry, but mostly disappointed. We left being told they were "sorry" and to call Monday to speak with Vicki (a manager I guess?). I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Fantastic service. Great atmosphere. Lovely staff! I'm not a spa-goer but for a first time experience, I really enjoyed myself. So, my three sisters and I (among other family) helped my Aunt flip a house in Corner Brook. As a gift for helping out, my aunt gave my sisters and I spa certificates for pedicures, though it was explained that I could use its value towards any service there. I got a pedicure because I got to hang out with my sisters and why not? So apparently at the end of the pedicure, you can have your toe nails painted. I thought it would amuse my little cousins, which it did. So I got them painted a lovely sky blue and then had them put a little white crescent moon on one big toe, and a raying sunshine on the other because, you know, nail polish remover, right? WRONG. Nope. Not what nail polish remover is meant for. A freshly pedicured and high quality nail polish does not come off very easily at all. So cut to me back home in Halifax a few days later. Martini in hand on my couch with my foot in my neighbour's lap as he scrapes the stuff off (he's a professional makeup artist for the film industry). In exchange for a martini of course. My roommate walks in, eyes dart the the floor and he bolts into his room. I think he expected me to give him a "coming out" talk later that day. I just wanted the stuff off my nails. So, in short: Don't do the thing that donny don't does. Great spa though. read more
