Stay away from this practice, especially Dr. Robert Kaplan. He is extremely rude, pushes things you…read moredon't need, and seriously doesn't know what he is doing. He prescribed medicine for pain without considering medications I am currently on, and I ended up in the Emergency Room! Dr. Kaplan is the absolute definition of useless and an absolute a**hole. All though the procedure went well so I thought, they had cut out 3 extremely small polyps which were benign. The Dr. said to me that I had diverticulosis after the exam.....well ok no problem. But about 5 days later I had extreme pain in my lower left abdomen (never had issues before) and I was experiencing a lot of PAIN! WELLLLL I called the colonoscopy office which said that they would like me to get a CT scan stat. So I left work to go do this, they told me that I had DIVERTICULITIS now! Hmmmm odd for me since I'm 53 yrs old and NEVER had an issue my whole life! I'm put on antibiotics for 10 days.....well that only lasted for 2 days until I had such severe pain that I had to go to the ER, and after several hours, ANOTHER CT SCAN, I was then admitted so they could administer IV antibiotics for the next 3 days! BECAUSE NOW, THE INFECTION SPREAD! YAYYYY! ***************** I was told from the DR/staff at the colonoscopy center that I can continue with a regular diet of which I did! (no restrictions) I got the infection (diverticulitis) from the polyps being removed because I was NEVER told to eat a bland diet for a few days/week so that I could heal!(the infection was where they were removed) So on top of all this I have a hospital bill to pay that is over $2000 which I'm outraged about this also! ******I also had to take several medications, along with visits to my family DR to get my system back to NORMAL which took several weeks to fix! I am now eating what I want, as I did before the procedure and since I am healed I do not have any issues at all! I called the colonoscopy office and I told them that they should be responsible for the hospital bill. Their response to me was that, they can't pay that bill! WELL YOU CREATED THE ISSUE!!!!!! C.M.

Like at so many medical practices the office staff can really be a make or break for wanting come back and the office staff at the Walbert Avenue location is truly inept. Due to scheduling issues I had to see a different doctor for the procedure & follow up visits than I saw for the initial consultation. All fine except that doctor does not accept my insurance. Every other doctor in their practice does and I was even told he accepted it but when the EOB came I got a "little surprise". A different person at the Walbert Avenue location also scheduled me at another one of their locations for a follow up visit and at NO TIME was that ever conveyed to me. Imagine my surprise showing up at Walbert Avenue, sitting for fifteen minutes then being told that my appointment was made with the same doctor, at another office location and I was now late for that appointment. The office manager at the other location was apologetic but said that "things like this happen alot from the Walbert staff especially the Saturday staff". Good to know. Hopefully I have no need to ever go back but if I do I will do my best to aviod the Walbert Avenue location as in general terms the office staff, sucks.

My dad was a resident for 5 years and unfortunately the staff was unproessional and disrespectul…read more The director of the facilty cursed out my dad mutiple times and when I approched her about it to file a complaint, she lied and kept saying it was not true. Yet, my dad recorded all his conversations with the the managment team. The cleaning manager is lazy and refuses to clean up when accidents take place. Also, my dad was charged for level 2 card and unfortunately he never got it as he fell mutiple times during his stay. The food is horrbile as well. I had to buy my dad food every day and have it delivered to him because the food was so bad. Avoid this place at all cost. This place is horrble and the managment team are a bunch of ass holes! The have no interest in helping your family, they just want your money.
