I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I was on a mad hunt for artificial flowers & bouquets for my upcoming wedding. My demands seemed of the impossible. The types of flowers I desired in the color I wanted, virtually did NOT exist anywhere! Then I stumbled upon silk blooms in one of my millions of google searches. I inquired through the "contact us" on the web page and asked about the specific flowers & colors I wanted. Mara Rose (the lady at Silk Blooms) was very prompt with her reply. She directed me to her HUGE assortment of photo's and flowers on her web page and told me they could custom make anything that I wanted. I found a few bouquets I liked & wanted to base my ideas off of. After discussing things with Mara Rose via email (with which I ALWAYS got a response either the same day or very next day) I decided to proceed with an order. From there I had access to my own custom page which showed all of my ideas and requests that I had for the bouquets. Pictures of the flowers where taken and sent to me for approval and any last minute changes before finalizing. Once I received my flowers, there was one aspect I wasn't very happy with and I expressed this to Mara Rose. She said, no problem and instructed me to ship the flowers back to her so she could make the necessary changes. This was of some ample cost to me, but at this point, I just didn't care and wanted everything to be perfect for the most important day of my life. And without even asking, Mara Rose OFFERED to reimburse me the cost to ship the flowers back. WOW!!! She said their only concern was making sure I was happy. And let me tell you... The guidance, patience and excellent customer service provided by Silk Blooms as we (I!) planned our wedding last year was more than I could ever have dreamed of. From the first email response (within a couple of hours!) to the lovely email wishing us well on our wedding day, I could not have asked for more. Hours were spent discussing the finest details to ensure I was 100% happy, without ever making me feel like I was asking silly questions or being a bridezilla! Living in the Outer Hebrides and with a winter wedding (30/12/15) I had mused with the idea of artificial flowers purely for practical reasons. I found silk blooms online 'by accident' whilst looking for the perfect bridal bouquet. From the website alone I knew I wanted to go to silk blooms for my flowers, the range of colours and styles and blew me away. From first contact right through to receiving my flowers the service has been fantastic. I arranged to go down to the showroom to look at my chosen bouquet before ordering and Mara (head florist) made one especially for me. On the day of the visit she was friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble, even modifying the bouquets. Following my order Mara kept me updated, emailing me pictures of all my flowers for final approval before they were sent, beautifully packaged and next day delivery. Everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were and were shocked to discover they were not real, I am so delighted I have them to keep forever. I came across Silk Blooms on two Facebook pages which I joined in January 2013. My fiance and I had just booked our Wedding at the Olympic Lagoon Hotel in Cyprus. I joined two pages Cyprus Brides to Be and Olympic Lagoon Resort pages. Those pages are for brides to be to chat all things wedding. They also share pictures on there of their dresses, jewellery, shoes and of course their bouquets. After looking at many options for flowers... Real and artificial we decided to go for artificial as we can keep them after as a memory of our special day. My mum actually came across this website and found exactly what I was looking for! I wanted navy blue and white/Ivory flowers to match my navy and gold nautical themed wedding. The flowers we found were from the 'Scota' range and they were simply stunning. We ordered my bridal bouquet, a maid of honour Bouquet, 2 flower wands for my flower girls, button holes for the men and women and when they arrived I was made up! They were so much better in the flesh and you can see how much work goes into them. They are sturdy and guests commented on how real they looked... Silk Blooms rescued me from a disaster I had with another florist! They're complete life savers and I must state that when I walked into the showroom I was blown away with their flowers. I was like a kid at Christmas! The flowers and the detail were amazing and the range and varieties made it hard to choose. I was absolutely delighted with my flowers and I ended up going a little over and having table displays to replace the ones my venue were supplying. You can't help it when you see the amazing range and quality and the bonus is that I will have them forever and can put them in a vase to admire. We absolutely loved our wedding flowers - I had a pink peony and lilac sweet pea bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets, my mum's corsage and men's buttonholes were ivory peonies and lilac sweet peas. The sweet peas were colour-matched to the bridesmaid dresses. The pink peonies in my bouquet were a few different shades of pink to look as natural as possible. They were amazing and very real looking. I love that I can keep them forever. And that I could get peonies at a time of year when they're not their best. The service from Mara was great with an initial phone call, lots of emailing and photos of mock-ups and even a visit to the showroom before we decided to go with Silk Blooms. From start to finish, Silk Blooms were an absolute joy to deal with. The flowers they provided for our wedding were stunning - I visited their stall at the Scottish Wedding Show and was so impressed with the quality that we ordered 13 individual pieces from their Kiera range - from my own bouquet to those of my bridesmaids, corsage for my mum, 'wands' for my flower girls and buttonholes for the groomsmen. My flowers and the bridesmaids bouquets were stunning, along with the corsages and button holes! When the box was delivered, I (excitedly) unpacked everything and found them a little worse for wear after their journey to the other end of the country. I emailed Silk Blooms to explain what I'd been met with and after a very fast response, Mara explained they needed a day or so to settle, I popped them in a vase over night and the next morning they were perfect!! Silk Blooms, I would recommend this company, they sent my flowers and they are fantastic, so pretty, Mara sent me an e-mail with the pictures of the flowers they had done so far and it gave me the lift i needed, i sent back an e-mail to say the groom was in hospital with a broken hip and bless Mara she kept in contact all the time my groom was in hospital, that was above and beyound the call of duty, Thank you Mara you kept me going, i am glad to say he is now home and recovering and we are looking forward to our wedding in August this year, we both think the flowers are lovely and we are so glad we used Silk Blooms. I choose silk blooms for our wedding flowers and am so glad I did! The flowers were colour matched perfectly to my bridesmaid dresses which was amazing as I could not get the right colour anywhere! Fantastic flowers. Thank you. They were so natural that our friends and family had to feel them to believe that they were silk. I love real flowers, but don't regret choosing silk blooms. Firstly they were perfect, and delivered to our wedding location (which was 600 miles from home!) well in advance of our wedding date. One thing less to worry about. The Cake topper was safe to add to the cake, and finally it all stayed looking fantastic on for our blessing 3 weeks later. Real flowers wouldn't have lasted that long! Flowers where amazing. Really good quality. You wouldnt know they where artificial, not that that is a big deal. I think they are the way forward personally. No bees or wasps trying to attack me, which was the case at a friends wedding before. I have been able to keep my boquette, centre piece which is being boxed up along side my dress. From day one Mara has been so helpful to me, advising me on what flowers would go best that would match my chosen theme. She was a genius!
