VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE GRANTHI…read more I went with my son to the Gurudwara Sahib and the Granthi repeatedly asked me if my son was in fact my child and if I was married. And then continued to ask me how can you have a child without a husband? I do not know his name, but the Granthi seemed to have a problem with his left eye. He may be blind from his left eye. I am very upset about the whole situation. I would like to speak to someone that may help me address what occurred. I came back the next day with my parents after I told them what happened and the granthi at this time was giving us degg (a different granthi, who was also there when I was asked such questions). This one had yellow shaded eye glasses on. When my parent told him what happened he says, "oh yes I was there but that's not what he said." Not only did these people disrespect me but also disrespected the Gurudwara Sahib by lying about what happened. if I remember correctly there were also cameras there that probably caught the whole conversation that happened between us. The staff of this Gurudwara Sahib should be more professional, respectful and focus more on our Guru Granth Sahib Ji, rather than my personal life. I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had here. I would recommend women to think twice before going here alone. As I did not feel safe. It breaks my heart that even in such a holy place a Granthi out of all people would act like this.

I come to gain a peaceful soul... forget all my tensions and crazy week I've had or am going to have and just free myself with the melodious hymns and Katha. Be one with Guru ji. I would love to bring my kids here one day. Instill the same teachings and love for Seva and Guruji as I was taught by my mother. I see other families and the kids have a great time here. Learning about there religion and culture in every step.
