There is a nice Migros in the basement, a Paylot, a small sized Denner, Cats & Dogs, three cafe's, clothing stores, 5 sec laundromat, Inter discount, Sun pharmacy, Ecole Migros school, etc. There is also a covered parking with 700 spaces, and the first hour is free.

The Nyon location however has let me down on several occasions this year with less than ideal quality of produces (and it is quite tiny overall so not a great selection is available). I had to throw out the fish I bought today as it was just not fresh. I will stick to dry goods at this place.

Once again, it is a department type store that has a bit of everything from household goods, to clothes, to jewelry, and food. This location is dispersed across several floors. It is also easy to get lost as the stairs going up, are not always the way to get back down. The food is on the lowest floor. Each floor is small and everything is jam packed it. It's amazing just how much they fit into this place. The food store is TINY! However, here I can get name brand items, like Movenpick ice cream!! Also, they have a nice selection of cheeses, and when in stock, a better selection of meat than Migros. Also, they have a large selection of local wines. I especially love to go here to search their wine section. They always have some good sales, and it's fun to try something new. The wine is the focal point of the food section as it is at the very center, you can't miss it, and it's by far the largest area of the food store. Also, a downside of this store is that if it is crowded their are only a couple of registers, so the lines can get very long. Also to note, Manor can be a bit more expensive than Migros or CO-OP.

You just get the hand held device as you enter, scan your Migros card, then scan your items as you put them into your basket (but if you put it back remember to remove it from the scanner!). At the check out scan the bar code, hang up the scanner, bag your items, and pay. So cool! Love technology. Haven't had any issues with the scanners, and they have people to help you in the self check out area if anything were to go wrong.

For any Brits it is a bit like stepping back in time going to shopping centres around here. Don't get me wrong, the shopping centres are very nice, if you like that sort of thing, but it is a bit of a shock to see C&A (in Blaexert but not at Val de Thoiry) again and does Etam still exist in the UK? There are shoe shops, clothes shops, a big sports shop and a lovely big Migros. Shopping-Etrembieres is based around a large Migros food shop, where you can usually find pretty much everything you need for most meals. This store is near my office and I am always walking by. During nice weather they will hang clothes outside on the sidewalk so you can't help but see the discounted discount items as you pass by. I have found some GREAT deals here. The store was recently renovated and is small to medium sized. The staff are present, but not pushy, and let you search through the store without feeling like they are breathing down your neck. Here you will find many name brand clothes at discounted prices, such as, Iceberg, Valentino, Versace, Diesel, and much more. There is both womens and mens clothes as well as some shoes.
