I am still a Saint!!
I will review this school in a very frank matter! At first, I was not keen on attending a school where no one living outside of the Lenawee County area has not ever heard of! Our dorms were located within the same building as the Office of Admissions, Cafeteria, and Dean of Students Office-- yikes!! Also to my dismay, there were not any Multicultural organizations (sororities, frats, student organizations) on campus. What a horrible 1st semester I had. This was in 2005.
All of a sudden, I woke up!! I started to appreciate Siena Heights for what it had.. not for what it lacked! I got involved in sooo many activities, all a while holding onto my 3.5 grade point average. For the last three years of my life there (years 2006-2009) I was a SSS mentor, President of the Resident Hall Council, an active member of the Student Senate organization, participated as a "BIG" for the Big Brothers Big Sisters club, Volunteered during the cold winter months at the Salvation Army for Share the Warmth; was an intern for both Edward Jones Investments and our founders, The Adrian Dominican Sisters, and met so many people who shaped and changed my life forever (including my husband , Kevin)!! I grew as a person, as a woman, and as a student.
Those who played key roles in my success include (from the Business Administration department): Claudia Blanchard, Sabrina Terrany, Bill Blackerby, Carliene Palmer, Laura (the accounting department) and Linda Campbell. From the Social Sciences department, Linda (sorry I am having a brain freeze and can not remember her last name). From the Student Affairs department, TRUDY MCSORLEY-- I absolutely love Trudy!! and the President of Siena Heights University, Sr. Peg Albert. Thank you so much again for dinner at Red Lobster :)
Although this is a very expensive institution, because it is private, I would recommend to anyone!! I am currently receiving a Post-Bachelors certificate from Madonna University and it is HORRIFIC!! I miss Siena.
