I was excited to try this restaurant whilst on a trip to London as I had heard only good things but I was disappointed. The staff were pleasant enough however hovered around and approached my table a little too often which made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the Penne Alla Norma which arrived in no time at all which makes me think it wasn't freshly cooked and it tasted like it too. The pasta and cheese were practically like cardboard and I didn't enjoy it at all but I was starving so I ate it. I ordered the apple tart afterwards which was delicious but would I go here again, I don't think so.

Absolutely wonderful! What a fun, yummalicious dinner! Service was very friendly and the food was A-MA-ZING! Really wished we lived here, we'd be here all the time!

Traveled to London from San Francisco, Ca our hotel was down the street and we stumbled in for lunch, dinner the next night and dinner and a toast a couple days later on our last night. If I ever come back to London I will make certain to come back here again! Amazing food and incredible staff! Thank you so very much!!

We had just come off a tour bus and Sicily was in walking distance. We didn't have a reservation but thankfully they were able to seat us right away. It's a really nice and spacious place inside. At about 7 pm on a Sunday night a man came to play the piano. So it was very nice listening to live music while we enjoyed our dinner. Please expect to spend some time here because just like any other European restaurant they take there time. You're meant to sit and enjoy your food and company. Pretty much most places I've visited in Europe are this way. So if you want the check you'll have to ask for it which is nice because you don't feel rushed. My husband and I split the arancini and the pizza piccante. Both were absolutely delicious and we were both very full. I did manage to fit some dessert in my belly. I chose to get the cheesecake which is made in house and the flavor changes everyday. Mine was a vanilla cheesecake with raspberry sauce. This I did not share... well I allowed my husband to have a tiny bite. I'm not a huge cheesecake person but wow. This cheesecake was spectacular. I wish I had ordered like four more of them. Definitely worth a try and it's also fun listening to the chefs in the kitchen speaking Italian. Reminds me of when I was in Italy.

Great Italian food on the heart of London. If you are near Victoria Station around lunch or dinner this is a great place to stop. On the edge of Belgravia, this place is easy to find as has excellent food and service.

Literally chose this restaurant because it was the closest to the bus station that we got off at. But I'm glad we did. Ordered the arincini which was very flavorful and had a nice marinera that has a nice little kick. Also ordered the picante pizza which had well balanced flavors. Staff was friendly and brought the food out when expected, but didn't bother us trying to get us to leave. Live pianist started playing when we were about to leave so we ordered a cheesecake, and I'm glad we did, delicious!

Was tired from a day of travel, had sea bass cooked to perfection. Wine by glass was perfect pairing. Enjoyed light salad with meal. will return.

It's a nice enough restaurant, but the food was not amazing, the arancini were tiny and a bit stodgy, the bruschetta was ok but I've had way better. I had the Aubergine Penne with ricotta for my main which again, lacked in flavour but was nice enough. The Cranberry Cheesecake dessert was probably the most disappointing as it really looked amazing but was very bland tasting. I may have higher standards than average having lived in Italy for almost 2 years, where an effortless pasta dish is full of nuanced flavour, so I can understand why some may say this place is good - but food wise, this didn't hit any spots for me. In terms of service, everyone was friendly & the food was served promptly. We did ask for the air con to be switched off or at least turned down several times as it was blowing directly on us, but they'd just switch it off for a couple of minutes before turning it back on, so eventually we ended up eating with our scarves on - which was pretty annoying. I can't say I'm in any rush to come back here, but it's a half decent Italian restaurant in a convenient location.

Located right across the Victoria coach station, my husband and I decided to check out this place. It looked so quaint from the outside and has outside seating, mostly table for two. We were greeted right away and the server was very attentive and polite. They had a lunch special which included two courses for 15 pounds. Ordered the beef meatballs which were about 5-6 small meatballs in a flavorful tomato sauce. Server added fresh Parmesan cheese and pepper. The lemon chicken was very good with a nice flavor of lemon and tender chicken. The grilled veggies and potatoes were prepared well and the food came out hot. Restrooms were very clean as well and there was a nice bar area. We came in with a suitcase and the server offered us a nice table with room behind it for our things. Will definitely come back if in the area.

Hi Everyone, My husband & I are in London for the week. We came across Sicily's because it was so close to where we stayed!!! We were their two times already & plan-to go back before we leave from our 7 days here in London. The first night we had three appetizers and they were are Delicious!!!! So our third night stay it got late & did not want to go far so we decided to go back. It was truly better the second time. I had the ribeye & my husband had the porkbelly with braised peas. He said it was the best meal he has ever had. I believed him because he is a food critic & is very picky!! Then to top it off we had the tiramisu Everything was absolutely Delisious definitely going back before we leave to try the lobster spaghetti

However, I need to warn my fellow Yelpers to stay away from Oliveto if you value Good Pizza! I mean, how hard is it to have good pizza!?! It is a simple staple which I have enjoyed in the US, in China and yes even in Italy. At it's most basic, it should be dough, sauce (doesn't have to be tomato necessarily), mozzarella and maybe some toppings, right? Here is where Oliveto went wrong for my mother and me: 1) they use cheap cheddar cheese - not mozzarella! 2) not a lot of sauce, maybe just enough to color it 3) the dough was soggy and didn't rise (I actually like thin crust, but this was inferior doug and 4) topping that were not as advertised, i.e. prosciutto should not look like and taste like store-bought sliced ham! Service was okay - the men like to talk about customers in their native tongue, thinking that patrons don't know what they are saying about them. We were so glad that we split a pie - most tables got a pie per person. Neither of us could finish this "pizza" honestly. Perhaps the only redeeming thing are the prices - this might be the cheapest choice in an otherwise expensive neighborhood.

It's a quaint little Italian spot in the heart of London and it's a wonderful place to spend, especially at night. We ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, the Strozzapreti Boscaiola, and a Bellini and Mimosa to go with our dinner. The food took just a little while to get here but I was sure that it was because they were taking their care with every dish the chefs made. I was right. The pasta was fresh, the sauce and the ingredients tasted very simple and hearty. It all tasted like my hypothetical imaginary nonna made it. The drinks were very good too and complimented the food nicely. Our waiter was absolutely the nicest guy ever. He was very attentive and made sure that we were happy with everything. In my head, I was going to tip him well, and then when we got the check, there was no option to tip. God save the UK. America could learn a thing or two about what it means to not make life all about work. That's beside the point. If you're in London, visit Bon Gusto. I can't wait to come again and happily hand them my money with the biggest smile on my face.

My mom is, which is why we went but there are rather limited options, at least on pasta courses, that don't include pecorino. 2 - we tried three different pasta dishes. What made them truly stand out was the freshness of the pasta. That said, the sauces weren't remarkable. I tried a special pasta with pecorino, butternut squash, and mushrooms which was nice and not heavy but not partial flavorful. 3 - the ambiance is great if you like a small restaurant- with maybe 10 tables and 500 sq ft of space, this restaurant has character and charm. 4 - the service was outstanding. The staff were kind and efficient. 5 - the dessert was just OK - had some scoops of ice cream and the peanutella was outstanding while the strawberry and the pistachio were just fine. 6 - the appetizer cheese plate was the real highlight of the night here. Fresh cold cuts and cheese with the most wonderful fig jam. All in all; this is a good stop and you certainly won't have a bad experience! Perhaps just not the most notable.

I'm not sure on that, it's just something I thought we caught on to before we left and there started to be RESERVED tents going on the tables. We went and had Scotch Egg, Calamari, Arancini, fish & chips and STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING. Oh. My. Goodness! First the Scotch Egg. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but it was....ok. It was a little plain. A little tasteless. They could have thrown a few spices into the meat, just a little something. To say that we've made better at home wouldn't be far out. But still good. The calamari was cooked just right. It's what you expect out of a calamari appetizer. Was it the best you'll ever have? Not really. Worth the price? Add it to your appetizer list! The rice balls, which is arancini is, were good. Add a little salt to the top and they were, also, as you'd expect. The fish & chips were exactly as we were hoping when visiting an English Pub for fish & chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, the coating was fabulous, and of course the chips were a perfect compliment to the fish. A great fish & chips experience. The star of the show was the Sticky Toffee Pudding. What a treat! Granted I've nothing to compare it to, this was my first time having it, but whether I've had it before or not THIS was perfection. Perfect texture, the flavour was amazing, the caramel drizzle was perfectly proportioned, and the little bit of ice cream on the side was just perfect. I would go back here simply on this dessert alone. As for the drinks, because, you know, it's a pub....I couldn't say. I don't drink alcohol but my Diet Coke was great!
