I'm a member of both their gym (sauna, different locker room, weights, cardio equip, the usual for 27€ a month) as well as their classes (10€ a month on top of the 27). I'm pretty skeptical about fitness classes usually, especially when recommended to me by people who don't exercise regularly like I do. Was I egotistical. I will say it now - even if you think you're fit, Sportspaß WILL work you out. The instructors are at large nice and to the point - they offer modified exercises when needed, and their routines are perfectly paced and difficult. They don't shy away from HIIT workout technique like slamming you with a weight exercise only to transition into a really difficult core stability exercise only to jump into something that involves squatting for pretty much 2 minutes straight in variations. My favorite classes are BBRP, Complete Body Workout, Tough Class, Rücken Balance, love a good Qi Gong session actually, and FASZIO. All amazing. Facility - so well kept. Everyone always remembers to bring a towel to lay on the yoga mats and on equipment, and the floors are never nasty, as you would imagine them to be from other people working out on them. Occasionally a group class room will smell because the windows have to be kept shut during workouts because of noise complaints about the music (which is truly nothing compared to how loud the pop music always was at NYSC), but it's not all the time and people will open the windows in between classes. The gym facility is really clean and very rarely/once has equipment been broken. The instruction is of course in German but I've never had a problem understanding the task at hand by keeping a beady eye on the instructor. The types of classes are basically unlimited if you get the gym as well as you can go to other Spirtspaß centers in the city. Most of all, EVERYONE at the gym I've met has been SO nice and I've never had a problem with creeps at the weigh section or aggressive wannabe athletes. The center is mostly dominated by old people and it's great - they're exercising to survive but also to have fun, which should be how people approach their fitness. Love love love Sportliebe

You get what you pay for? This gym is new and pretty clean…read more I go there because it is cheap and guess what, so does everyone else! Luckily, I have a schedule that allows me to go during non-peak hours, otherwise I don't think I would get much done. There is usually at least one treadmill broken, the women's area has a scale right next to it, that usually has men using it and of course, they always have to look in to see what the women in the Frauenbereich are doing, doesn't this defeat the purpose of putting up a wall? Besides this, and the men who act like they've never seen female legs before, i'm pretty content.
