They have a very nice selection of vegetarian entree. I love their TOFU PRA-RAM. iT is probably the best on the Peninsula I am a huge fan of peanut butter. I eat it off the spoon. Scoop the peanut butter from the jar and eat. The tofu in that there curry's are so yummy. Their pad thai is yummy too. I haven't had a bad meal here. The women who run the place are friendly ( it's pretty sad it is so dead.) They seem to have a lot of people do take out then eat there. Their Thai ice tea is also good. read more

Solid authentic Thai in San Carlos. Som tum (papaya salad) was a really tiny portion and not as spicy as we'd prefer (Asya down the street has a much better one), but the tofu eggplant stirfry and holy basil chicken were on point. The chicken was spicy without us asking for it, which was awesome, and the waitstaff was more than happy to provide hot sauces, peanut sauces, etc. Will return! read more

Excellent place! Used to live in San Carlos and would frequent this place more often, but still continue to visit periodically even though I'm now 2 cities away. The food is always fresh and consistent and the service is outstanding! Some cool shops to check out if you want an after dinner stroll down Laurel. Nice place, very clean...convenient. Food is ok--I've been there 3 or 4 times now and have had the pad thai every time. Its really good--portion is a bit small but --good! I visited there last week and had the green papaya salad for the second time. The first time I suffered thru...it was soooooo spicy my tongue was in pain!!! But I kept eating...why? I do not know....Pain! I tell you! ...and I thought I liked spicy food?!? Well--whatever they put in this salad makes me want to cry--and not in a good way! So this time I asked for the papaya "medium spice" cuz like I said--I like spicy--just not painful spicy! It came out the very same way! I told the waiter that I could not eat it and he asked if I wanted to take it home. I told him that I could not eat it--that it was too hot! He told me to next time ask for no spice....that didn't really help me for that meal. Anyway--beware of the green papaya salad... Prices are decent. Service is good. However, I've noticed that their portion sizes have gotten quite smaller over the past two years. I no longer work in San Carlos, so I won't make the drive all the way here. I'm only a quasi-thai food snob. My brother, who has lived in Bangkok for over a decade, is the master. I personally find most Thai places in the Bay Area pretty similar in quality but I give Siamese Kitchen a full five stars. The people are great - it's a wonderful place for takeout or dining in and the food is authentic and tasty. They do throw in some western style Thai food too. Try the eggplant delight. a great place to order take-out from. one order of rice is enough for a light meal for two. i recommend any of the curries with an order of rice. wait is about 10 minutes or so for ordering take-out. bring a friend, order some curry and rice and go to a nearby park to enjoy your meal! packaging for their take-out is efficient and easy to transport. Really good Thai food here - everything we ordered was exceptional. I had the tofu pad thai, green veggie curry and spring rolls. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Every one else seemed to really liked their food as well including new things that they haven't tried before - something bbq, chicken on a stick, eggplant, and duck. This is a totally adequate Thai restaurant. Not spectacular overall, but some dishes are much better than others, so if you order wisely you can have a very good meal. Free, cheerful delivery and reasonable prices have made this our backup plan when we can't think of what to cook and don't want to order a pizza. Here's what you can skip: * Thai Egg Rolls: hard, dry, and hollow, with a sauce that's mostly sugar. What's the point? * Fresh Vegetable Spring Rolls: really just a salad wrapped in steamed rice paper, and not a very good salad at that. No tofu, shrimp, fresh basil or mint to be found. Boring! Here's what you should definitely seek out: ***** Pad Thai: some of the best I've had! Tasty, tender noodles, and great flavor. An excellent meal all by itself. **** Pra Ram Chicken: the peanut sauce is rich and flavorful, not too sweet or watery like many places make this dish, and it's served on a bed of broccoli and other veggies. read more

I had the Pad Thai and my friend had the Pad Kee Mow. They both looked oily before digging in, and mine definitely was very oily. Though the flavor was good. The price is pretty expensive for noodles. But I had to try it. I might go again if a friend was dead set on going, otherwise I would try and convince them to go to Chao Praya. read more

Four stars because the food is very tasty but mainly because it is the only Asian restaurant (including Indian) that I have visited in 12 months that is prepared to make me spicy food! Proper spicy. Sweat inducing, eat slowly spicy. Thank you Siamese Kitchen for listening and not patronising me by giving me tame, westernised versions. I am a grown up! If I ask for 5 star spicy - on my head be it! Musaman curry was excellent - tender beef for a change; red pumpkin curry with tofu was sweet, hot and delicious; the spring rolls lacked some mint / basil for my taste but were very pleasant with a real peanuty crunch and the green papaya salad was fresh and tangy with a tongue numbing quantity of chilli - hurrah! The only disappointment for me was the pad thai which had very thin noodles and was a bright orange color. My husband liked it but it was just a nice noodle dish without the sour, shrimpy , nutty taste of a real pad thai. If you don't like spicy - they also do non-spicy versions of everything. read more

After looking at reviews, here on Yelp, i decided to try this place for Take-out. We walked in & ordered Tom Yum Gai soup, Panang Chicken & some beef Kraw Praw. The lady who helped us was quiet & somewhat unfriendly; my wife liked the Tom Yum Gai; i had the Panang which was essentially 'orange water', nothing like Siam Thai or other places (disappointed in the Panang). I have been going to the siamese kitchen for a few years now, and I have to say it has never failed to disappoint. The pad thai is always good, and last night I tried the pineapple fried rice for the first time-loved it. I have never really gone for the "spicy" dishes, but my friends who have say that it is a manageable level of heat- and you can request a level of spiciness on many of the options. Their vegetarian selection is impressive. Pricing is average, it's not dirt cheap but you get a quality meal for what you pay. It's usually pretty quiet in there- I know they get a larger lunch crowd than a dinner crowd. however, trying to find parking on Laurel is THE WORST. Don't even think you'll get a spot on Thursdays- I was unaware of the San Carlos Farmers' Market on Thursday evenings, and it took me longer to park than it took to get to the restaurant! Our company tried this place for lunch today and all comments about the food was great. We had the Fresh Chili Beef, Garlic Pepper Chicken, Red Pork Curry, Yellow Chicken Curry, Pad Thai Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, Garlic Pepper Prawns and the spring rolls. Everything was very good and had great flavor. I usually don't eat Thai, but this place has changed my mind (and it will probably be the only Thai place I eat at again).
