Here is the breakdown: FOOD: They had a couple of options and I ordered the cupim dish. The cupim with the farofa was excellent and really enjoy it. The mandioca was a bit dried and lacked that flavor. AMBIANCE/ DECOR: Nice spot to come with friends without going to crazy or a nice dinner spot for family. Very hard to judge as we went on a holiday and the restaurant was empty. But nice casual decor to it with the open kitchen layout. You have the option to eat st the counter by the kitchen. SERVICE Enjoyed the service. Very attentive and friendly the waiters. OVERALL Star for the food, decor and service. One extra for the overall experience. Missing the wow factor but would definitely come back.

The service was the only thing that took my experience from a 5 to a 4 star review. I would def recommend this to friends and look forward to coming back. Oh the service wasn't pleasant because they seemed a bit snobbish and didn't pay close attention to their customers.

The place is rather large, even though it's tucked back in a mall off Paulista Ave. Their menu is rather large so it took some time to figure out all that we wanted (so many good options!). Our waiter was quite helpful and did guide us to a few items I loved! Their pastels were amazing and the "meat wrapped in something" on the yellow plate in my pic was soooo good! On a scale of 1 - 10, it's a perfect spot to grab some good food and hangout with some of your favorite company :)

The only thing I would suggest for the next person: order your steak 1 level below what you normally order. They serve the steaks on hot cast iron skillets, so by the time you're 1/2 way through, the steaks keep cooking and are more done than you may prefer or originally ordered. But nonetheless, steaks themselves were fantastic!

A couple of nights they had some live music and that was a real plus! The food here is excellent! Though we didn't speak much Portuguese, a combination of Google Translate and broken Portuguese on our part and broken English sufficed to get us what we needed. If you're in the Paulista area, this a great place to stop! Also, if you like hot sauce, theirs is amazing! I brought a couple of bottle back with me!

Yelp Review 2025 #167:…read more One of Latam's 50 Best Restaurants and Michelin Big Gourmand is A Casa do Porco or the House of the Pig. Aptly named since they raise their own pigs in a farm and they make sure they follow practices that are humane and sustainable. Feeding people with respect to the environment. They use the whole pig and nothing gets wasted. I made a dinner reservation a month in advance through their website. It was a simple process. I stopped by for lunch too and there was a line out the door for people without reservations. They do have a takeout window to the side of the restaurant if you want something like a sandwich. You can do their tasting menu or do a la carte. It'll end up cheaper if you did the tasting menu than a la carte. However, I have been eating my way around São Paulo and I knew I would be struggling to finish a lot of food plus, I had a 7am flight the next day. So, I ordered a la carte. I wanted the San Ze Pig (roast pig) but it's too much food. Torresmo de Pancetta + Goiabada + Picles de Cebola Roxa: Crispy pork cracklings topped with a thick sauce made with pickled red onions, and guava. You get 6 pieces. Definitely get this. It was crispy, salty and sweet. Sushi de Papada de Porco + Tucupi Negro + Ameixa fermentada: Pork sushi brushed with black tucupi (sauce made from fermented manioc which looks and tastes similar to balsamic vinegar) and fermented plum. It looks like unagi nigiri. You get 4 pieces per order. I was not given utensils. The items I ordered were meant to be eaten using your fingers. The interior and exterior seem very casual. There's graffiti outside the building and inside the restaurant. Even when you look in Google Maps, it doesn't look like it's a restaurant but an abandoned building. By the time I contemplated adding the San Ze Pig, I was already done with my meal and it was time for me to go back to the hotel. You can check out their menu on their website which you could translate to English to save time on making your selections. They also have menus in English if you ask for it. Service was great and helpful. It was nice light dinner.

Is there an enormous salad bar? YES! Did I eat any of it? NO! WHY?! Because I could not stop wanting more and more of the delicious meat options. There is plenty of room inside for a large group and the service is spectacular. You never need to look for your server, they just keep coming back to fill your plate. The drinks are made with love (of course a caipirinha is obligatory) and there are plenty of dessert options to share (if you still have room). Even if you have been to a Fogo de Chao elsewhere, come to Brazil and taste the reasons why they are the BEST at making meats. It would take over 10-15 minutes just to get another slice of Picanha, yet they kept bringing bottom sirloin and other cuts. Also, the bottom sirloin was not as good as the other Churrascarias in Sao Paulo (Jardineria, Barbacoa, etc...). The pincaha was still very good at this location, but you could tell they were trying to get rid of their other cuts first. The staff also kept messing up our bill. For the price point and quality of the other cuts, it's just not worth it. There are too many other great Churrascarias around the city. For the record, I only went because of how close it was to my hotel. I'm actually surprised the Fogo de Chao in the states have better quality and service.
