As we go into May next week it will be month 5 though my invoice states 8-10 weeks. they took my deposit (50%) 12-9-25 I started calling in March 2026 and appts made then no show, no call or text. Plantation shutters arrived in the time frame as promised. However, when I submitted the final check, it was electronically deposited and cleared two days later. Approximately two weeks later, someone attempted to electronically deposit the check again. If it were not for my bank catching the mistake and reversing the charges, I could possibly have been double billed. It seems as though someone from the company should have caught this oversight. Stay away! I paid a deposit of over $2,000 on December 12, 2024 when they came out to measure. No word from them for over 3 months. Like others who have left reviews here, I called numerous times to find out when my shutters would be in....no one ever answers the phone. Get a text back, "order delayed". Scheduled an install date for early March. Installation cancelled they said to due to installer's illness. Then they cancelled my second install date scheduled for 3/28/25. Said there was an error in my order and they're back in production. It is now March 27 2025, not one follow up call, always some excuse returned in text. I've asked for money back after almost 4 months of no shutters and two cancelled install dates. I now have to go to small claims court next to get a refund my money. Any reputable owner would have called me about this. Instead, I get excuse after excuse in text. read more

Steer clear of this company! On Oct. 16 2024 their representative came out to measure for four windows for new Shutters (same as SP installed in the past). Gave them 50% - big mistake! We were told and on the contract 4-6 weeks delivery. Never heard a word in 6 weeks. Called to get some insight on the order...no one ever answers the phone. Got a text back, "order delayed". It is now January 31st 2025, not one follow up call, I've been chasing them for info, multiple times, always some excuse returned in text. We've asked for money back, no word from anyone other than a text, "sent a message to owner". So far this has been a huge disappointment, my feeling is nothing was ever ordered and our deposit was used on something other than my order. I would not recommend this company to anyone that is interested in getting shutters. As with many of the other reviews, this company does not like to return phone calls-only texting. I had an issue with the catch plates which allows for the closure of the shutters. It seems that the catch plates were installed incorrectly at the manufacturer, they were screwed in too tightly which caused a burst fracture. Over time they are beginning to fall apart rendering the shutters incapable of staying in a closed position. The person from SP, only texts and stated that they notified the manufacturer. I was told the replacement parts were being sent out, UPS seemed to have misplaced the shipment. The texter of the company now no longer wanted to follow up. I guess one time is all the texter can do. I even got a message that the manufacturer was in Texas and "it is out of their control, lol"!!! I had to do my own investigating to get in touch with the manufacturer which was not an easy task. The person at the manufacturer did help me but I would still be sitting here without the pieces if I waited for someone from SP to help. I even sent them an e-mail to SP's "customer service" but no response. I would not recommend this company, they do not stand behind their product and lack any skills in communication or customer service. read more

We ordered shutters from this company in June and were very happy with the installation. In August, we put a deposit on additional shutters When we had questions we never received a return phone call from Nathan who apparently is the only who makes decisions for the company. The install was supposed to take 4 to 6 weeks. It never happened. We made numerous phone calls with no response. We requested a return of our deposit for failure to perform however the owner never responded. At one point we received a text from the sister of the owner saying the refund was on its way. That never happened. We had an attorney send a letter to request a return of the deposit. No response. This is not an honorable company. They take your money and seem to think it is okay not to deliver but keep the money anyway. read more

Nathan and his team at Shutter Professionals provided a level of customer service beyond excellence. The quality of work, craftmanship, durability and the overall finish exceed my expectations. All shutters were installed the same day in which I had 12 done which is the whole house. The pricing and value of them are so much better then home depot. I love how all my shutters turned out and look on the windows. The warranty was stated during estimate and sample products were also shown. Invest in shutters from this company and you will not regret it. After my mother had hers installed, I got mine and then I referred to a friend and she also did and last by not least my brother is getting them soon also. I was told by Nathan which happens to be the owner if i paid 500 dollars extra i could get my blinds with in 4 to 5 weeks if not it would take 12 to 14 weeks we'll it took 9 1/2 weeks i expected a full refund of my 500 which i only got 300 was told it was not his fault it was the manufacturers fault my feeling is if you can't fulfill your commitment you shouldn't sell it don't blame others. We had our entire house outfitted with shutters from Shutter Professionals in July 2019. This past May we noticed that the paint is peeling on the blades of 3 shutters. We called the office and were told to text pictures of the damage. We didn't hear anything for a week so we texted the office again and was told that "the owners" would be reminded. That was on May 16th. On June 6th we emailed the office detailing the problem again and the fact that we had never received a response from "the owners". A Nathan Swartz ("owner") responded and apologized for not getting back to us. But his response was simply that "We have already made an order for new louvers." Not sure what that means so I asked Mr. Swartz for an estimate of when the repair would actually be made. No response. I asked Mr. Swartz again on June 13th. No response. I asked Mr. Swartz again on June 20. No response. On June 26th we notified Shutter Professionals that we were filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Florida Consumer Protection Agency. We quickly received a call from Shutter Professionals apologizing for the delay and admitting that they had failed to place the order for the replacement louvres, but that they would be ordered that day and the repairs would be made in 4 weeks. After four weeks we emailed the office again and asked for a status report. Incredibly we were told that, once again the order for the repair parts had not been placed but would be taken care of that day. We asked for a repair date and got no response. We doubt that Shutter Professionals has any intention of honoring their warrantee. This is disappointing. We purchased from Shutter Professionals because we found good reviews on Talk of The Villages, Yelp and other social media platforms. And because of their "No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty". But it seems we will now have to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and Florida Consumer Protection and hope we can get a meaningful response from Shutter Professionals through them. I am extremely happy with the customer service and professionalism of Shutter Professionals. So far, they have installed shutters on my huge sliding glass door and pantry.
