I stayed at this hotel for a week while there on business, and while there aren't a lot of options…read morein the area, it was an all around ok experience The room was fine. Some of the outlets didn't work. The bathroom wasn't overly clean, and all three of my towels had multiple holes in them. Even the chair at the desk in my room had the upholstery completely ripped There was a relatively nice workout room. Plenty of machines, equipment, and everything is clean. There is an indoor pool, but it was closed and drained when we went There was also a complimentary breakfast that starts very early (5am), but there really wasn't much of a selection, and the food is sub par, but it's free. They did have bagels and toast, but the toaster didn't work The staff were fine. Fairly helpful, although, there was a mix up with the rooms and we had to switch rooms after the first night which meant we had to pack everything up and go to another room Some tips: This hotel is located near a handful of eating options, a grocery store, gas station, etc. consider grabbing a coffee at mega-latte in the morning or one of the other cute coffee shops downtown just a mile or so down the road Cheers!!

I stayed at Little Missouri Inn from September 5th-8th, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. During my stay, I found a bug in the bed and reported it immediately to the front desk. Instead of offering a solution, the staff member just said she would "pass it on to management." No room change, no apology, nothing. When I later followed up, I was told by management that I had supposedly been offered another room -- which never happened. If I had been, I absolutely would have taken it. To make matters worse, I was told "it was just a tick," which is not only dismissive but also a legitimate health and sanitary concern. I tried to resolve this fairly through the hotel, but the hotel refused to take responsibility and made it clear they trusted their employee's word over mine, even though I provided details and documentation. I travel often and understand that problems can happen, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service here were unacceptable. I cannot recommend staying at this hotel based on how my concerns were handled. So unless you want to sleep with ticks and front office attitude and lack of professionalism I'd stay anywhere else.

Meals range from $10-$20. For the price, it's worth it. But there are a couple ways to save a few…read morebucks. First of all, if you are working or staying in the Williston area, The Bakken Buffet has a full day meal plan (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for $35. I don't think it includes a drink, which is $1.50. Aside from making your own lunch, there are no other places in the area that can give the selection and service you get at The Bakken Buffet for $35. Karl is great. He greets everyone and explains prices and makes sure people know what's on the menu. I had a nice conversation with one of the cooks too. Great people who care about customer service. Second, if you want to save money, just get the salad bar and have water. At $4.95 for unlimited trips, you can't beat it. Third and probably the best deal would be getting the food and housing for free. Yes. Free. The Bakken Buffet is owned and operated by Goliath Industries, LLC (www.goliath-industries.com). They provide food and housing for their employees at the Bakken Base Camp, next to The Bakken Buffet. This gives a person the opportunity to make some serious money because housing here is outrageous. They are always looking for A Class CDL drivers. The only other place in Williston I can compare The Bakken Buffet to is Gramma Sharon's in Williston. One word to describe that place: Disgusting. Food was garbage. Service was below rating. And flies were everywhere. It was gross. There are many places in the Williston area that will shock you when it comes to cost. Example: One bedroom apartment: $2000/month. Supply and demand. There is money to be made so prices are sometimes inflated.

Depending on the time of day you're probably going to pay anywhere from $16-20+. The price is high but they can get away with it because there aren't many places to eat out here. Seriously though, besides the great food, the staff here is so friendly! They usually greet me at the door and let me know todays price and the selection of food available. I don't go to the Bakken Buffet everyday but when I want to relax and have a big meal this is my first choice.
