I got directions (pretty hard to find w/address). When you see the address 250 on the building, cross Elizabeth and follow the building clear to the back, place is on the left. Once there, the gentlemen were there to help me carry my shredding materials. Very nice. I watched them pour them into a garbage container. I thought I'd get to watch them shred. (the last place did this) Not this time. Man said they shred at the end of the day. I guess I had to trust them. The cost for the service was $20. I had three large shopping bags full - about 20 lbs. I think the cost was OK. Giving them only 4 stars because I couldn't watch shred!

I had called a few mobile shredding services (and experienced poor walk-in service locally) before trying this company. Frankly, I had almost given up on my search and was on the verge of starting a document bonfire in my parking lot. Chris was super helpful and patient with my limitless questioning. He delivered the shredding receptacle to my office promptly and on time. Small Colorado Springs business need not fear the Pueblo location..apparently their trucks regularly roll through the Springs. I don't want to store boxes and boxes of files in my office and I'm usually too occupied to lug boxes around town for walk-in shredding. I needed a low volume document shredding service that I didn't have to think about. Mobile Record Shredders may be my answer. Their rates are too good to pass up and if the service continues at this level then I may end up being a long-term customer.

I have tried to find a document shredding company in Colorado Springs where we can take boxes of…read moreold docs and watch them get shredded. Federal Document Shredding, where we used to go, is no longer in business and it appears Iron Mountain has closed their doors. I was on hold for 15 minutes with Iron Mountain until someone in India answered. She struggled to understand my question and eventually directed me to their site in Aurora. I drove by the Iron Mountain address on Stone Street in Colorado Springs that remains listed in the internet only to find a note on the door saying, "Under new ownership. No document shredding done here." When I phone other companies, it seems like the shredding mafia, in the form of "Shred Nation" have taken them all over. It also appears all shredders now only work for corporations or you must pay them to drive a truck to your place to take your documents and trust they're securely shredded. As an alternative, you can take documents to places like Office Depot and, again, pay to have your documents "securely" disposed of off-site. Nobody in this town has a location where you can go and watch your documents be shredded for your own peace of mind. Iron Mountain, included. Shame.
