I normally don't leave negative reviews; but with the cost of repairs that this will take, and the…read morefact that I've been ignored and blocked instead of responded to, I don't think it's fair to future customers for me to ignore it at this point in time. TLDR; This company put a roof on my house that didn't last even 1/4 of the promised time; when I reached out to negotiate reimbursement (because a new roof is needed), I was blocked by the owner, with no response. If you need any kind of roof work done on your home, or you want to be treated with any kind of respect, then absolutely DO NOT go to Brandon's Home Repairs. When he put a new roof on my mom's house (while he worked under a different company name), he assured her it would last about 4x as long as it actually has. We have to put a new roof on, which is expensive, so I reached out to the owner, to explain the situation and see if we could get compensation. Of course nobody expects their first request to just be paid, and I was fully open to negotiation, but it didn't seem to right to post a review without even giving him the chance to make it right. However, after being ignored, and now very obviously blocked, without any kind of response, I'm more upset than if he had just said no, or been unable to reach an agreement. When I looked up his previous business, I found that I'm not the only one this happened to, either. I guess if you're looking for a short term fix, then this business might be fine. But for any kind of honesty, or long-term work, I'd look elsewhere.

Update on original review- Our roof leaked with the first…read morerain, after our roof replacement. After several calls, Mr. Gardner sent an employee with a tube of caulking to "repair" the repair. The leak caused damage to the sheet rock on the wall around our fireplace. With the next rain, two new points of damage appeared. This time, my husband called Mr. Gardner again. He said he'd be here the following day. He didn't call or show up. We called the man who had replaced our vinyl siding. He came the same day. He found that the flashing had not been replaced. My husband had SPECIFICALLY shown the flashing to Gardner as a spot that had been severely damaged in the original storm, and tree falling on the roof. Also, the contract stated that the flashing was to be replaced. So we paid the vinyl siding man to fix the flashing, and it is not leaking anymore. In closing, we are left with a subpar roofing job, a load of excuses instead of solutions from the owner, and we are still finding roofing nails in our yard!

He would stop my job to take another one.He left the roof exposed to the rain which then damaged ceilings and floors in 3 of the apartments. He did fix the ceilings but not very well. I still have to pull out all of the carpet and some tile and replace it. He ran out of roofing tiles and instead of getting more of the same color just finished the roof with whatever he had from another job. 10 days after he finished the siding and soffit started falling off and it took 3 weeks and a letter threatening legal action for him to fix it. Now 6 months later and more siding and soffit are falling off.He kept asking for money even though I gave him almost $9000 before he even started. Save yourself the hassle and don't call.

Now granted, on both…read moreoccasions I have gotten 3-4 quotes and in neither instance were they the cheapest (nor the most expensive) but the communication, the explained process, the details, and the options were always the best for what I was looking for and needed. Our salesman, Brandon, was our salesman on both jobs and he's always thorough. Like a Dr has great bedside manner, Brandon has great relationship skills. Not pushy, but knows his stuff and leaves it up to the customer to decide what's best for them. I like his style. Cody, the job foreman, and his crew were top notch. The communication was fantastic with images and text along the way. Even the clean up was top notch. I hope I never need another roof but who knows where I'll be in 5 years. If I do, I'll be calling Skywalker. One tip, if you're needing a roof and the company you're looking at doesn't even want to go in your attic or ceiling, look elsewhere. And remember the old age, you get what you pay for.

They were out to take a look at the roof the next morning and found a significant amount of hail damage & recommended that we file a claim with our insurance, which we did. The insurance adjuster was out a couple of days later, and Escalade met the adjuster to review the damage. We did get a whole new roof on both the house and the large shed. The most amazing thing was the shed it was almost completely covered with vines on one side and tree limbs on the other, I thought I would have to hire a landscaper to trim everything back. But no, these guys brought their own chainsaw and tools and cut everything back off the shed and replaced the roof. The new roofs look great, and we would definitely recommend them to anyone needing to do roof work!
