Eco-Appliance Repair - Text exchange with Anthony

Eco-Appliance Repair

(12 reviews)

CONCLUSION #1: Eco-Appliance isn't afraid…read more I went through several waves of desperation/depression calling appliance repair businesses to get my in-wall combo oven fixed. NOBODY...and I mean NO ONE would come out to even look at it for any amount of money. I get that these combo (microwave over standard oven) units are a pain to deal with...heavy and awkward...but c'mon! What kind of appliance repair place flatly refuses to repair appliances? Answer: All of them, apparently, except Eco Appliance Repair. As you can imagine, I felt completely over a barrel. New combo oven units cost literally thousands of dollars. Basically, I couldn't afford to replace it. And yes, I tried to fix it myself. Um...you know how that went. So, again, I wasn't in a position to even ask about Eco's pricing. Which brings me to... CONCLUSION #2: Fair pricing. The charge was $50 to come out and diagnose the problem. That seems completely reasonable, especially if the diagnosis would have given me the information to fix the oven myself. Which I couldn't. The cost of the repair (requiring a second visit once the part came in) was also very reasonable, and the $50 diagnosis charge disappeared, eaten by the final bill. I now have a decades-old oven that works like new for less than 1/10th what it would have cost to replace it. CONCLUSION #3: Anthony knows his biz. I have my prejudices, and one of them is that appliance repair guys are kind of the rough-hewn type. Not Anthony (the owner/tech), who gives the impression that he's probably an electrical engineer deep down inside, clean-cut and soft-spoken. My dog loved him from the start, which is a good sign. Point is, he made short work of fixing the oven. I get the feeling there isn't much he can't fix. PROS: He runs a tight ship, setting appointments with a two-hour window, sending a text 30 minutes before arrival, showing up, doing the work, and leaving the place as clean as when he arrived. CONS: None. I strongly recommend Eco-Appliance Repair.

I urge anyone looking into using this company to strongly reconsider…read more We are a small family-run property management company, and we called Anthony at Eco Appliance Repair to take a look at an oven / range unit at one of our rentals last week. Anthony had done work for our company several times in the past so we kept him in mind as we had other issues pop up. Upon texting Anthony regarding the unit, the response he gave us was totally perplexing: "Are you a Trump supporter?" He replied... Stunned, I texted back: "Huh?" Anthony then replied: "Lose my number. No longer working for folks who supported MAGA" (This text exchange is attached here) To be clear: Our company is in no way affiliated with any political group (and I happen to be a registered independent). We reached out to Anthony professionally to discuss appliance repairs and at no point discussed anything political in nature. We definitely don't feel comfortable having someone like this in our properties or my tenants properties and strongly recommend anyone reading this to choose a different appliance repair company to work with.
