Always is an amazing breakfast time here, my kids love it and honestly...it's always memorable for me to come and dine in, must be dine in! Hopefully they have more vegetarian option for my veggie hubby, but everything especially the Steak and Egg, oh my! That's an ultimate must for my kids and me! Love it!!!! The ambience is wonderful and it's just memorable!

I was looking for a new breakfast spot and found Shorty's. A nice simple diner/deli feel where you order at the counter (nice variety) then choose your own seat (inside or outside). Service is friendly and fast. I was greeted warmly by Jackie who radiates helpfulness and joy to be sure your order is customized to your liking. Such a pleasure to meet happy people who love what they do. I ordered the breakfast combo with their seasonal pumpkin pancakes. The combo came with 2 eggs, 2 bacon slices, and 2 sausage links. Their hot tea was soothing and a delight with honey packets on the side. Overall a wonderful experience with a great price. Thanks Jackie & Shorty's - you welcomed in a new customer who will be back.

First thing is first, the customer service here is outstanding! They greet and welcome you in with a smile and care. The seating area is huge and spacious. The decor inside is very appealing. I ordered a burger which was so beautiful and tasted unlike any other. 10/10 for the burger. The meal came with fries and those were delicious as well. French toast (7/10) was pretty good, they give good portion of slices. This place is semi pricy but all the best flavors and service is there! Great place. Definitely recommend.

I have been going to Shorty'z for years, usually for breakfast on a weekend morning when nothing at home sounds good and I'm about to go run some errands. They have a great variety of menu items with many options for both breakfast and lunch. I usually get the two eggs with bacon combo, but I have also had their french toast, pancakes, burgers, and sandwiches and everything is always tastes great and the portion sizes are good. The service is fast and friendly and it is nice to always see a lot of the same faces there when you visit. The owner is a big LA Kings and hockey fan. There are some hockey decorations on the walls and the TVs will often have a hockey game on. They are located in a pretty large shopping center, but they are the first business if you enter the center on the east side. They are in their own building (the unit next door has been vacant for ages) and there is a good amount of parking out front that is pretty much dedicated to them. There are about six booths and six tables inside as well as a nice enclosed patio outside with a good amount of seating which is great when the weather is nice. I am sure I will be back soon.

French Toast Combo with a side of Hash Browns

Just stumbled across Shorty'z after dropping my daughter off at CSUF for a high school field trip. Was craving breakfast and searched for a nearby breakfast spot, and Siri led me here. Shorty'z is a diamond in the rough, meaning, you could almost miss it. GPS initially led me to a closed down restaurant. Looking a little further, there was Shorty'z in the corner of the shopping center parking lot. It was definitely worth the effort to look a little further. Inside is a bright, clean interior that looks like a combination between a classic cafe and sports bar. The menu offers great breakfast options. You order at the counter then choose your seat. The service was nice and friendly. I settled on the French toast combo with a side of has browns.

I love this place. As soon as my family and I walked in we were greeted by 2 people with smiles on their face. The place was full but we got a booth pretty fast which on a Sunday morning is great. I ordered the breakfast burrito, husband ordered the abc burger and I got the chocolate chip pancakes for my kids. My breakfast burrito was amazing! The abc burger was ok according to my husband and the pancakes were delicious. The order came fast and we were all very happy at the end of our meal. My biggest thing in restaurants is cleanliness and this place was definitely clean! Customer service is great and food is delicious! Will be back to try the French toast. read more

I love this place. I will not complain about anything because they have amazing food, affordable prices, super friendly staff, and most egg meals come with 3 eggs!!! My husband loves that because he just cant get full off of 2 eggs and always has to pay extra at other places for a third one. Its silly but it makes a big difference to us! I found this place by accident today! I was just in the area and wanted to see what would be good. Really friendly folks and a super clean place! Oh, and the food is kickin' too! I ordered the ABC burger combo with fried zucci's. Food took a little long to get out to me, but it was worth the wait! Great char on the burger, toasted bun, cleanly sliced avo (mashed avo is my pet peeve), and hot and crispy zucci's! Yeah, I'm a fan and am looking forward to trying their breakfast! read more

This is just the best breakfast place ever. The food is so good. It's so cheap. And the service is EXCELLENT. I come here a couple of times a week and it's consistently good. I just wish they had more indoor seating. I love everything I have ordered here but my fave is the corned beef hash plate. read more

I finally got to try this place for breakfast and loved their food and service so much that we tried lunch another time. The lunch did not disappoint. This place is pretty much to the point with their food but the service is great and always makes me feel welcome. They do get packed by brunch on some weekends and their tables are first come first serve. They are worth the trip if you want some good food. I will definitely be coming back often. read more

The food is okay. I don't like that there was no place to sit on Sunday brunch. If you sit inside, it can be too smoky. But if you sit outside, it can be too hot! And the sausage on my plate was kinda cheap. I think it is okay for a cheap brunch. I was excited by the other reviews but maybe I didn't order the right thing. There must something good on the menu because the place was packed! I just haven't discovered it. read more

Shorty'z quickly became my go to spot when I moved to the Fullerton area. Just across the 57 bridge, it is close to the Cal state Fullerton campus, and appears to be frequented by student and local alike. I am a particularly keen fan of their breakfast menu, but my girlfriend enjoys the lunch items. With both served daily till 3, it's always easy to agree on coming in or grabbing take out. My personal favorite is the chicken fried steak breakfast, eaton on a Sunday morning with the football game on (football or some other sport is always on one of the two tvs!). If you're in the neighborhood, I would highly reccomend giving this reasonably priced eatery a shot! read more

Pros: The employees very nice and friendly. Unfortunately that's about it for the pros. Cons: The food very average. It reminding me of a Route 66 diner. I ordered french toast it was ok. Doesnt look much from outside but inside is something else. Open with lots of light. Clean and chill enviroment. Good for groups and kids. Outside seating with shade. Food is good. As a coffee lover, enjoyed the fact that i didnt have to wait for server for coffee refill. Fresh pot of coffee available at counter for refills. Menu carries alot of breaksfast and lunch selection. This place is solid diner. Large portions, cheap prices, great service. I use to go to fantasy burger in placentia but this place has replace them. Their entrees are less then 10 bucks so it won't hurt your wallet. Is it it gourmet quality?? No, but is it good?? YES. I have tried lamb gyro, chicken gyro, cheese burger, chicken fried steak, and wasn't disappointed with any of them. Will go out of my way to come here? No, but if I am in the area and what something better and cheaper then fast good then this place hits the spot. read more

Today was my first time at this restaurant. I was a bit skeptical but the reviews and photos of food were very convincing. All I can say is OMG!!!! The food was the bomb. I had the country fried steak,scrambled eggs,hash brown, toast, and coffee. The gravy had bits of bacon and sausage in it. It was super flavorful. The price was very reasonable. Shorty'z is the kind of place that locals consistently visit. And the non-locals wish they had a place like it near were they live. You are meet by the staff who show their positive feelings about the restaurant and customers. The menu is diverse without being overwhelming. The ingredients are fresh and are prepared to match or exceed your expectations. Competitive prices. Clean, basic & busy with a diverse clientele. Shorty'z is great place for a quick bite. My better half had the shorty special. I had the steak and eggs. Both were delicious and worth the price. Plenty of room to sit with a large patio. When it's busy you could be waiting so don't be suprised because I just warned you. This is a place to bring the family or your sancha. read more

I am in shock after what happened this morning. My mom is one of the biggest supporters of this establishment. She talks about how great their omelettes are (while my family and I can't seem to agree... Flavorless and over priced) My mom ordered her food the way she likes it... They couldn't seem to get it right. My mom called them and said the dry food wasn't how she ordered and paid for. The manager (who refused to give her his name) hung up on her and screamed at her. My mom went over there and he verbally assaulted and embarrassed her in front of customers. My mom was literally in tears because she's always loved their terrible food. After my sister called he said "everyone has their bad days". To me- that's not an excuse when you're running a business. I hope this place goes out of business. I can't seem to understand why they have such a high rating. I always say anyone could make this food at home... Nothing special. And you mysterious mr. owner... Shame on you. read more

It's really good food. They have breakfast and lunch. I wish I knew about this place before I graduated csuf. It's a good portion sized meal but I just wish they had breakfast drinks like juice or milk. They have a soda machine but I prefer juice or milk to go with my breakfast. It's still a good place though. The service is friendly and it's quiet which is nice for a morning meal. read more

I recently had breakfast at Shorty'z and was blown away by their country fried steak and eggs - it was absolutely delicious! The breakfast burrito was also fantastic. The outdoor seating added a lovely touch to the experience. I'll definitely be coming back just for the country fried steak and eggs. Highly recommend! read more

Love this place. They are right around the corner from the Yamaha School I take my grandkids for music lessons. I like to spend an hour here while waiting for them. Too bad they close at 3 pm. Or I will take me family here for dinner. read more

We had an issue with the male owner at this restaurant. My mother left in tears after she had a complaint about her overcooked omelette. He completely embarrassed her and told her to get out. This is not the way you handle business. read more
