I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a ton of papers to fill out, just one wet erase form that they wipe clean after they scan into each client's chart. Ethel is a true professional (even though I have known her for almost 40 years). She has a gentle, confident touch and an eye for detail. She first explained what and, most importantly, why she was doing what she was about to do, that is big for me! First, she took my blood pressure, she then did a palpated screening of my jaw, throat, and face for lumps or irregularities. She offered me lip balm (in a range of flavours) to prevent my lips from sticking to the instruments. She polished my teeth first to ensure I didn't leave with grit in my teeth. She then meticulously cleaned my teeth, ensuring every nook and cranny was thoroughly taken care of. What impressed me the most was her dedication to explaining each step of the process, from the tools she used to tips on maintaining oral hygiene at home. Her knowledge and passion for dental care were evident throughout the appointment. Beyond her technical skills, Ethel exudes a genuine care for me as a patient and my dental health. Sean is very gentle and concerned about applying the right pressure, he was constantly checking with me and I felt in very expert hands during the treatment. The most surprising thing is that he has fixed a problem that I've had for years on my right ear!! I had a constant 'different pressure' feeling that I've tried to treat for a long time with different specialists (I've tried osteopathy, acupuncture, traditional medicine...). Nothing worked for this particular issue. When I had the treatment with Sean I didn't comment anything about this problem on my ear, as I gave up on it some time ago and learned to live with it. But last night, after Sean's treatment, I felt my ear completely normal for the first time in years!! There are a few things that I feel a bit 'different' today: my jaw, my right foot feels different, the knees are more aligned, the hips feel more opened, my neck and shoulders more relaxed... The treatment is gentle but it does a lot! I am going to continue visiting Sean as he also gives you recommendations for your posture and exercises to do on your own. I recently booked an appointment at Discovery Chiropractic, where I had been a patient several…read moreyears ago. I chose to return because returning patient prices are less than new patient rates. However, only after my appointment, was I informed I would be charged as a new patient since they hadn't seen me in several years ($30 difference). For context, I had called twice because I was pretty sure I had been a patient there before, several times. The time with the doctor was not a new patient consultation but a 10-15 minute adjustment. They did agree to take $15 off the new patient price, but I still felt it was unfair and should have been communicated upfront. On a positive note, the adjustment was good and resolved my neck stiffness. They were also able to get me in quickly, which I appreciated. However, the billing issue left a bad taste in my mouth, so I called them back and explained that I felt misled. Instead of addressing my concern, they defended their practice of not being transparent upfront. It would have been more honest to inform me beforehand that I'd be charged as a new patient, especially since I mentioned I was inquiring around town to find where I had been previously. It is not about the money, but instead about the principle. This experience left a negative impression. I run a business, and I think honesty and transparency are key to good customer service. If I informed someone after the fact that I would be charging them more than they expected, I would likely have unhappy customers, and less than 5-star reviews.

This business suggested booking an adjustment and a shock wave treatment together ...a double…read moreappointment . Unknown to me was that my insurer only paid for one of the two sessions .I was billed full cost for the second booking. When confronted...rather than offer some sort of compensation ....like 1/2 off or a free complimentary visit the office manager said she was sorry but it was my fault . Treatment sessions are extremely quick. Your wait is longer that the treatment session ....in and out in 5 -10 minutes. I will not be going "back" no pun intended ....more like they are insurance coverage money grabbers
