Despite my not being of his typical community, he was welcoming and warm. He didn't even mind my asking him questions that challenged some things I believed. He was happy to answer, patient in listening, and kind in his response. I was happily surprised to learn how knowledgeable he was without being too preachy or judgmental. The church itself is beautiful with it's 13 pews on each side and well equipped for a lovely ceremony where everyone can hear and enjoy the ceremony. The woman (Tanya I believe?) who assisted along with it was wonderful as well. She was gentle but firm and did a great job orchestrating it.

The best news is that Fr. Joe and Fr. Walter are gifted speakers, and neither are long winded.

The Sunday we were there was the day to remember all our loved ones that crossed over into heaven. The way it was done by writing their names on pretty leaves, before hanging on a tree in the worship space was like celebrating their presences in our lives. The pastor prayed for us and our loved ones. She also explained to the children in a beautiful meaningful way, why we remember them. Her preaching was phenomenal too! The choir was dynamic! We will go back for a visit this week since we are in town. All I can say is this church is a definite gem -- if you're looking for a church family, check this one out!
