Well that's serious money in my book (unfortunately.) I came into the store between 9-10a.m. on a Thursday. It wasn't too busy, to my relief. On the other hand, I wanted to be sure to get the right stuff, and wanted to check with the Pharmacy that it wasn't physically behind the counter before hunting the aisles. I took my place in line, and began to wait .. and wait. I have no problem letting her serve the current customer first, go ahead take the time necessary to do your job. After the customer walks away, however, she continues to really take her time. I stand, and wait...keep waiting...there are people adding up behind me. Finally I get so annoyed I need to start making conversation with the customer behind me. As we begin filling our own time void, the staff immediately decides to continue with someone else not in line. THEN I get to hear that it is indeed not kept behind the counter, but on the shelf. Once I hit the aisle, I do get a staff who is available and takes the time to answer my questions about the various formulations offered on the shelf. She had good knowledge of the different ingredients and their applications. I was finally able to purchase what I needed. I should have made more effort to remember her name as I would go look for her next I came back. Good service with an appropriate knowledge level.

Spoke with the rude manager and let him know of the issue and asked me why I did not check bill at the time of purchase. I asked why your location is putting up sales signs ahead of the sale. He rudely pointed me to their cashier sign that requested patience. Sorry, this is not good customer service in my opinion.

It's a great one stop shop especially when you are particular about beauty products. This location is quite large and right at entrance has an extended perfume section. It's part of the new renovation project for introducing the Sephora products. The extension of the cosmetics is really well lit and organized. The food & cleaning product section is larger than the regular Shoppers and they have tons of well known brands in the clearance shelves. Also, I was really impressed that almost all the well known products were fully in stock and that on a weekend. The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)

However, driving there takes less than 10 minutes. I filled my asthma inhaler prescription at 3am. Why 3am? Because silly me was too lazy to do it during the day and my flight was in a couple of hours. The pharmacist who was on duty and I had a great conversation about being from the Caribbean. Plus, it took 8 minutes for her to fill my 'scription. That never happens during regular business hours. You won't find much people on staff or that even want to help you. They are usually too bubbly for late night or are dead on their feet. It doesn't bother me though. After shopping here for so long, I'm pretty much a seasoned vet and don't need any help navigating the aisles. I can however spent an inordinate amount of time in here figuring out what I need, picking up things I don't need, and then rationalizing that I'm about to spend double than what I estimated. But since they don't close, I don't have to rush and I can take all the time I need--even until 5am...I'm not saying that's happened before but--it has.

Also, the employee forgot to scan my package at the store so I couldn't even track it until I called to inquire about the missing tracking information. Take my advice: for urgent shipments use Fedex or any other carrier besides Canada Post! They do not honour their promise.

They are the reason I have stuck with this location through multiple owners over the past several years. We have been going to this store for over 10 years. All the staff are excellent but Arlene in the pharmacy goes above and beyond. She is always available to answer any questions or help with benefits issues. She knows our family and always greets us. Although the pharmacy fees are higher for Shoppers I find the customer service makes up for it. I like their mobile app for prescription refills. As long as you have the Rx number it is incredibly convenient to order refills. The store is very responsive too - there was an issue with one of the mobile refills and Arlene called to clarify. In addition to prescriptions we also get our annual flu shots here. Very convenient and rarely a wait to get the shot.

I found a prime parking spot in front of the store. I backed into the spot and walked in. I like this SDM more than the one closer to my home. This store has exotic Lay's potato chips. I was thrilled to see them. My local one doesn't have any. I looked at the frozen foods section. It was nice seeing Stouffer's products before it goes away. There were also Pizza Pops, which I like to enjoy now and again. This store has a strong noodle section. You can get at least four different brands of mac and cheese here. You can also get Knorr's noodles in various sauces. I also enjoyed seeing the Squishmallows section. Easter Squishmallows are out. This store had medium and large ones. The lip balm section is also decent. I spent a good chunk of time looking at everything. I used the self-checkout kiosk to pay for my items. There was only one human at the checkout area and it was busy. Luckily, my purchases were straightforward to scan. I'm glad that I finally visited this store. It's a good one.
