Kings Heath park is absolutely huge. It's great to have picnics at, go for walks, have colour…read morefights (as my friends and I did ) , walk the dogs and even entertain the kids. Everytime I go there are always various clubs going on which is great to have something to occupy time with! Additionally, it has very quiet areas, especially by the pond , and I usually take work and do it there. It's a great park!

You've got the footpath that leads all the way around the park, which is popular with walkers, joggers and cyclists. This path will lead you from one of the three entrances right down to where the park edges alongside the trainline. How many miles this walkway is I don't know, but it's a good walk to take it all in. The path snakes in around the parks water feature which is really quite beautiful and is popular with ducks. There is also a tea room, tennis courts, a bowling green, basketball hoops, and two childrens playgrounds. This is a supreme park with large open grass spaces to boot. Kings Heath park is a great asset to the south of Birmingham and has a great deal to offer visitors.

We really are…read moreblessed / spoiled over in the south of the city when it comes to parks - there seems to be one every few hundred yards - from large, countryside-equse open spaces like Warley Woods and the Lickeys, to ornate urban parks like Cannon Hill Park. This place is a little of both - the large open space that dominates it provides a lovely respite from the bustle of Harborne, and the gardens that border it are well kept and a legacy of the park's Victorian roots. We don't have many great outdoor spaces in Harborne so its a great place for young children, teenagers and adults too. Its has a great open large space, people come here to play football, tennis (has 2 tennis courts), basketball (has a basketball court). Has a playground area for young children. Very popular with dog walkers, joggers and cyclists. Ive been here day and night and never had any trouble, the gardens are well kept and very pretty in every season. There is 2 car parks available on site which is free, space available for disabled vehicles too. A great little park!

BEWARE -SHORTAGE OF SAFETY…read more I had a bad fall yesterday. My binding should have released but didn't; my left leg was badly twisted. I am immobilised today and hoping I do need not to go to A&E On the plus side the staff are friendly and helpful particularly those who 'rescued' me from the slope. Regrettably there are minuses:- For its size the slope gets very crowded so do not book at peak times and avoid weekends and Bank holidays Safety is compromised by mixing snowboarders with skiers. Why so? First because snow boarders take different lines down the slope and skiers often find themselves being 'cut up' by boarders. Secondly the weight of skis is split between 2 skis and one ski is unlikely to cause injury to innocent 3rd parties. By contrast a board is heavier than one ski and all its weight is concentrated in its short length. Snow boards are notorious for injuries, often serious, to innocent 3rd parties. The surface of the slope is in places almost sheer ice which is what caught me out yesterday Lastly staff adjust the bindings on hired skis to hired boots. Like most people I did not check this. I suspect that had I done so I would not be immobile like now. Moral check your bindings.

If you are lucky enough to come to Bermuda, Horseshoe beach is one of those wonderful places you…read morewill never forget. The almost pink sand, the amazing weather (in the summer), beach volleyball and dark and stormies (ginger beer with rum) make the perfect mix to make your holiday the one of a lifetime. Getting around is most easy with a moped that can be rented at many places and after a 20 minute introduction, pretty much anyone can ride one! Make sure you get on one of the wreck snorkeling trips and explore the world of wrecks and fish 4 miles off the coast of Bermuda! Another nice detail: Bermuda does not inhabitate any poisonous animals or large spiders... so you can wonder around the island without fearing being bitten. Most people play with the thought of moving to Bermuda after only one day of being there so make sure you are working in the banking and insurance industry (re-insurance is Bermuda's biggest business) or the NHS (yes, Bermuda is still a British Colony) and you won't be disappointed. I will definetely re-think my choice of career....

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I was a travelling Oxford fan back in the days when both Derby and Oxford were a big deal, and intrinsically linked. I had a great time here and always loved coming up to Derby, but I have to be honest... it was a stadium that needed replacing. Or massive renovations. And the new one (Pride Park) is just so fantastic and impressive that I am not surprised they tore this one down. But I will always remember coming here in the 90s, and all the great teams and games that happened here, including a couple that I saw live in person. I've been to most UK & US stadiums, due to lifelong obsessions with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later Liverpool (fave team) around. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are from first-hand personal experience, usually from several visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited most stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to hundreds yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at most, which I'll post later. Also, when back in UK I'll take more pix, and add more stadia! *** return to regular review *** It was demolished just a few years ago, after being the stadium of the great club Derby County (and the home of the champions in Brian "Brain" Clough's days) from 1889 until 2003. Over a hundred years of history, now vanished. In all honesty, even with its 42k standing capacity, and especially with its 18k final capacity, it was never the best stadium in the league, in fact it was one of my least faves. But for all the great memories and for the fact that it's now consigned only to memories, I'll give it a solid 3. Speaking of solid, check this out. (Pulls down pants).

I used to trot around here as part of my training when I competed in the London Marathon - highly recommend,gets you in a great head space as you take in all the different views of the water. Walking,cycling & dog walking are other activities you can do,to name just a few,there is also *depending on the seasons a Rutland Water Aqua Park - but make sure you pre book as this is very popular. Normanton Park Church is a tourist hot spot as well as a Zoo! & a man made beach. There are plenty of cafes & children's play areas,with rock climbing (Rock Block). Hambleton peninsula is worth a visit with local pubs dotted around Rutland Water. We live near here & I think most Rutlanders will admit that they don't use the area as much as they should. Although we will be taking a wander to take a look at the new Sea Dragon which has just been unearthed

Great well conserved park…read more This is basically a large man made resevoir, underneath which is a village that was covered over with water when they made the resevoir. Great place for canoing and other water Sports. Many people hire cycles out or bring there own to go around the water, it quite a ride but makes a nice day out. Also great for walks, feeding the ducks, there is also a marina area and in the summer there are boat trips. Food is expensive so better to bring a picnic or packed lunch

Your scores are added up, and you have a couple of goes. It's quite fun to work out who has had the most hits, and who died the most time - and is much harder than it sounds!
