As mentioned above, the toilets are disgusting, but the rest of the park is nice, (though the nearby trains make a fair bit of noise, if the kids are having a hoot in the playground area, then it'll seem quiet).
The park features a car-park area which is reasonably sized, it seems to be just about right, given that you can always find a car-park space.
The grassed areas are nice and flat for the most part, meaning you can have a good old game of footie and not trip up.
Despite bins located everywhere some people do still resort to littering in this natural beauty spot, and some people don't clear up after their digs, but this has been greatly reduced over the years.
The venue also features a bowling green, (with a local club, which I was once a part of a few years back), and also tennis and badminton courts, and a small fishing spot, (which is greatly outdone by that in Priory Park, also, not sure if you need a license to fish here or not, so best to check with a regular there before you do). read more
