We once went to get some school shoes the day before term started. Big mistake as expected, the shop was boiling hot and staff were stretched to the limit. Most designs were sold out too. Avoid that time and it'll be fine. Of course as everybody knows shoes are not cheap here. But they last very well and it is worth it for everyday footwear like your regular shoes or the kids school shoes and trainers. The shoe fitters seem well trained and always take their time with our kids.

The selection of shoes is not particularly large but they tend to be good shoes and they have what is popular at the moment. It's rarely crowded and therefore is a slightly more pleasant shopping experience than going into some of the more popular high street shoe shops. The main negative point of this shop is that it doesn't sell children's sizes which is surprising since every other person in St Albans seems to be pushing a pushchair or have a school aged child in tow.

For instance I saw a pair of boots for 30 pounds that were no better quality than what shoe zone sells for 15! There are no real names here just copies of designer shoes. Two Norf (sic) London girls came whilst I was here to look at this knock off Uggs. I think this store is overpriced for what it is. They try to dress it up with a nice sign but I think it is crap.

They won't last very long but, for the price, you can just buy another pair. They have a good selection of mens, womens and kids shoes and accessories. It's not a huge shop but what they do have is pretty reasonable and worth a look!

Being in Camden, the proprietors have most likely fended off a lot of both. The store itself offers a great variety of functional and beautiful shoes, truly something for everyone. They have great specials too: there were three pairs of decent shoes for a bargain £30. I had to have a laugh at the Crocs near the back of the store, because Camden is the kind of place where if you wore your Crocs on a Friday night you'd never be found again, your only remains comprised of a bright yellow Croc floating down the Camden canals. There are lots of other brands though, and there is as much for the girls as there is for the guys. Prices are alright - better for women than for men (a flip of the usual coin in that way). It's not particularly well organized, but isn't awful either. My downside is that I got followed around by a staff member. Properly followed up and down the aisles and I was checking out what sorts of shoes and bags were on offer (which, as with most outlet shops, was a mixed lot - so good to have a good root around). That was really off-putting. Clarks usually have really great service, so this was a change. Overall, it's a decent little outlet shop, but could use with a good tidy up and a friendlier outlook.
