That said, prices are very high and staff has been snobby every time I have shopped in the Southern Pines location and Pinehurst . I went in And purchased a pair of shoes for work and…read morethey had their buy one get one 50% off going so I figured I would just get another pair of shoes I got a pair of converses I have like 25 pair I don't know why I chose converses but I did well I get home I'll put on my Nikes to go to work I wear the shoes from my front door to my car from my car to my job and realize that they are not going to work because they are not any type of slip resistant OK so I go back to my car take the shoes off put my old one zone and I go to return the Nikes and the converses because I got the converse is half off I knew I couldn't return One pair shoe without returning the other so I go in I'm not greeted i walked up to dynel I let her know that the Nikes have been worn but they were only worn for maybe five minutes she takes them out of the box and she tells me that I'm crazy if Think she's going to take my shoes with them that way I said all they have to do is be wiped off like I wasn't going to try and cover up the fact that I wore them that's the reason I didn't do it so when she tells me that I need to clean the shoes very rudely I told her that that was her job I take my shoes I go out I knocked the shoes off in front of the store I turn around go back into the store and she said I sure hope you clean them good I said no I knock them off the same thing that you could've done she doesn't say another word to me I'm on the phone with my phone with my friend and the lady returns my shoes it was on a credit card so my money still hasn't been put back I've tried to call the corporate office and I was on hold for 15 minutes before I ever spoke to anyone so I hung up my advice to you is don't shop with the rack room shoes

At this price point one really expects a certain level of quality control and of customer service…read moreand this store has neither of those qualities. As far as selling you any frivolous overpriced baby item under the sun, they will be very attentive. However, if you have any issue at all with a product they have sold then they take no accountability and are borderline disrespectful if you try to return or exchange that item. I paid a ridiculous amount for an outfit from here and although it was much more than I normally might have spent, it is my first child and I wanted to do something special. After I went home and was putting her clothes away I realized that the snap buttons were completely faulty and would not work at all so the whole outfit just hung open. I wish I had tested out all of her clothes in the store but I had my hands full with her and really didn't expect it. I brought them back immediately after noticing (with the tags and the receipt) and they refused to take it back under any circumstances, even though that is not a policy they had posted anywhere. I was told that I was the one who broke the outfit even though that's impossible that I could have manufactured it with weak/faulty snaps. The teenage girl working at the store tried to start an arguement with me and continued the conversation after I had given up with a long line of questioning. All I wanted was an exchange for the same item that wasn't broken and she would not budge at all. I was told that the manager would be getting back to me about it and even took down all my information but never contacted me. I will not be recommending them to anyone else or ever going back. After the way they treated me over what should have been a simple return/exchange, I wish I did not give them so much business to begin with. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.
