Knowledge of the employees, eagerness to wait on you. Very kind and friendly to everyone that came into the store. Had the patience to help me try on several pairs of shoes and finally bought two pair. I recommend this store to everyone I see. Thank you for all of your help and friendlyness. read more

by far my fav place to shoe shop! Always greeted as soon as I walk in the door, always asked can I be helped finding anything & the minute I decide I want a particular shoe a sales person is just steps away ready to help me. I'm always offered cute socks to match and asked if I looked at the purses on the wall to compliment my outfit . I buy all of my work shoes and flip flops here. The yellow box selection is awesome!! the store manager is the sweetest too! read more

There is none other like it in Dekalb. and these shops are closing in nearby Meridian, Ms. There were fabrics for weddings, prom dresses, and all sorts of everyday apparel. Theirs is a great shop with lots of fabrics also, but theirs is specialized for quilters. There is nothing unique like chiffon or bridal lace at Jerome Tank's, but if you tell the lady in Village Cloth Shoppe, I'll bet she will show all that she has. Ask her for anything. She probably has it. I will hate it if she dies before i do. The shop will probably close after everything has been marked down to give-away prices, and it won't be replaced by another one like it.
