Next time I'm going to couple my cherry shaved ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We walked in when no one was in line and three ladies were behind the counter, ready to take care of us. They have several tables outside, most covered to avoid sun or rain. Despite serving such a sticky product the tables felt decently clean for an outdoor space. Plenty of parking for those coming and going.

Usually when you get shave ice on the mainland, it's hard and crunchy-- but their shave ice is so smooth and melts in your mouth! It's the perfect place for those hot summer days. I'd definitely come back for more.

I had the Pina Colada shaved ice and it was amazing, I ate it so fast I had brain freeze ! It made me feel like I should be on the beach eating this out of a coconut. I thought they ended up charging me $5.50 for two scoops, but found out I was only charged $3.50! So if that was a single scoop, man....I do not think two scoops could have fit on one cone. The only complaint I have was that it seemed to take a while just to scoop ice cream and serve it. It seemed like more than just a usual minute.

The menu of shaved ice flavors is huge. My favorite is the tiger's blood. The sizes are huge! At only $3, the small is more than I can eat. They have more than shaved ice, too. They have a few packaged ice cream bars and floats like purple cow and traditional root beer, too. Don't miss the chocolate covered banana and chocolate covered cheesecake, though. Knowing how much my youngest and I love shaved ice, he asked them to wait while he grabbed his wallet and ordered 3 cups. I love cherry and theirs was delicious, a nice balance of ice and syrup. I'm so happy Tikiz came through our neighborhood and hope they'll continue after we aren't sheltered at home. You can also spot them at local events and school fundraisers. A thing to note: Hawaiian Shaved Ice is actually a little stand located in the parking lot between the new Angilo's pizza location and Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken. I kind of doubt this will be open during the colder months, but it's been open all summer nearly every day between 3-9pm. All they have is shaved ice. With TONS of flavors (and some fruit toppings) to choose from! Their prices are simple: $2 small. $3 medium. $4 large. All overflowing with iced goodness! Seriously. The small was huge! The Pina Colada flavor wasn't that great, but the orange and lime were good. I'm looking forward to trying more flavors before colder weather hits. Hawaiian Shaved Ice is a great alternative to places with daiy (although I'm sure the flavor syrups aren't really healthy). *bites flavored shaved ice* Ahhhhhhhhh.
