They're strictly a wholesale store by membership if you own a retail food or food service establishment. Compared to other price clubs such as Sam's, BJ's or Costco, their prices could be slightly better, but not always. For large cryovac slabs of meat such as pork shoulder, brisket or ribs, their prices are much better. For other items such as crabmeat and sausage, they're comparable. You can only enter with a member id and barcode. Same for check out. You can get a shopping cart or U-boat. There are no bags for check out. You can drive your truck or car into the area to pick up and load from your cart or U-boat. It should be a quick in and out if you're ready and prepared. Besides food, they also have other food service items such as burners, pots, dishes, sanitary items, prep items, etc. If you're a large food service operation, they would be a place to go for a fill-in order or for emergencies. If you're a small food service operation, you may not be able to work with a broker or distributor----this is for you.

Of the 3 major wholesale clubs, BJ's is my second choice after Costco. This particular branch is…read morepretty solid. It's very clean, parking is a breeze and the staff is really nice. I've even had 2 of them refuse tips when helping me load up an over-sized item. Three times, "here this is for you", and they simply don't want it. Must be something about the PA water. In NYC, that tip would be gone...so gone. Some of the upsides here are the cheap and delicious rotisserie chickens for $5, the big and heavily discounted selection of name brand kids clothing, the convenient gas station close by (not the cheapest around, but pretty cheap), and the burgeoning selection of organic foods. As for negatives, Im getting a bit steamed about the Made in China food items which are popping up at BJ's (and in wholesale stores in general) more and more. The branding is also making it quite hard to spot at a glance. For example, I recently bought a USDA Organic bag of pine nuts from the Belle Sole company. I figured Made in the USA, maybe Italy or Mexico. Nope. China. And they tasted horrendous. So bad, that I actually had to return it. It's also not just the pine nuts. I've also seen frozen fish, noodles, Asian dry goods, Asian frozen dinners, and soybeans, all from China. I don't mind food from Asia or overseas, but it really is controversial to stock food from China given their legacy of worker exploitation, pollution concerns, criticisms about the quality of organics sourced there, and scandals with food contamination. Further, what the hell, how is it cheaper to import noodles from China than to make them here at home? It's basically flour and eggs in a plastic bag. BJ's can't find an American company to do that? I don't know, there's something very wrong with that scenario. It certainly feels shortsighted and greedy for companies like BJ's to import food from China. However, since my hardline stance is outweighed by my kids love their Frigo cheese sticks, I'll almost certainly be back (unless they start to make them in China, I guess).

Low pressure, knowledge, ease of transaction. We picked our granite at MSI in Edison, NJ ( https://www.msistone.com/edison-nj-new-york-countertop-showroom/ ) Now this may sound like a pain to drive up there for the slab but it is well worth the trip. Check out their website above. So we are waiting for the slab to be templated for our kitchen. If there is any problem, I will write about it as well. So far, though, I am thrilled with this company. Oh and they also won best of Bucks County for Granite and Marble for 2015! FYI - I am truly a regular home owner in Newtown. I added this business without BCW even knowing!

She was unable to template the layout correctly and upon installation the vanities do not fit my space and the countertop doesn't even match up with the vanities edges. All she has offered to me is excuses instead of trying to come up with a solution to fix this problem. Even her coworker, Bill, could not understand the layout she created for my bathroom vanities. If she could mess up a simple bathroom, I would be very scared to see what would happen with a bigger project like a kitchen.

Located on an ass ugly stretch of U.S. Route 1 in Langhorne, PA, across from Reedman Toll Auto World, the impression of too much blacktop in front of a long strip of stores, is hard to shake. The commercial zone is anchored by Rednor's (discount groceries) and Marshall's (discount clothing), with smaller retailers filling the gaps. There are several fast food outlets (Chinese, Panera, Duck Donuts, Chucky Cheese, Tacos, etc.), all more or less decent, but nothing to get excited about, not drive too far to indulge. So, you go there if you live nearby and can arrange a multipurpose plan to capture various needs in one trip, like pick up you dry goods, a box of Ducks and drop off your tax prep stuff at H&R Block, or some other variation. Of course if your a cheese steak maven, you might be tempted to go there hungry and visit Steve's Prince of Steaks in a free standing store that sits in front of the shopping center, but feels like a part of it. It looks like they have plans to modernize and construct new buildings along Rt.1, but until they do, this will be at best a mediocre low budget place to shop. Not that you can't accomplish anything there, it's just that you'll feel depressed while doing it.
