First of all, she has a very caring staff. Bette was the first person I met as I entered and she was polite, hospitable, and very helpful. The other staff were also upbeat and welcoming. Dr. Torres' nurse introduced herself and didn't treat me like just another patient's "chart" in her hand. Dr. Torres showed compassion, knowledge, and I appreciated her use of excellent listening skills. She is open to my being an important part of the medical team caring for my health. For me, this quality demonstrates an excellent medical professional. For this, I am grateful. I feel blessed to have found Dr. Torres and her staff. Peace, Rev. Louise Tallman, Mt. Dora, FL

Whenever my labs showed concerning results, she would blame the issues on medication or tell me I had anxiety. Even after I stopped taking all medications for months, my concerns were still dismissed. Over time, my symptoms and conditions worsened. I eventually found another endocrinologist who actually listened to me and took my concerns seriously. After reviewing my labs and ordering additional testing, he confirmed that my results pointed to the issue I had been concerned about for years. When I brought those results back to this doctor, she still dismissed them. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, she accepted payment for the final appointment and then told me she would no longer see me because I had found another doctor. I feel like I wasted years trying to get help, only to be made to feel like I was imagining things. I suffered for a long time while trying to figure out what was wrong on my own. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this doctor. Check out her real reviews on Healthgrades

On several occasions I have sat in that office and heard the staff loudly discussing other patients, they are embarrassing. THIS IS NOT HEALTHCARE, THIS OFFICE IS HORRIBLE. I was deeply disappointed by how this healthcare company handled its patients and staff before and…read moreafter bankruptcy. After years of building trust within the community, the company went bankrupt and sold to CenterWell Senior Primary Care, leaving many longtime patients -- especially veterans relying on Tricare as their primary insurance -- feeling abandoned. Veterans who served this country deserved continuity of care and transparency, not sudden disruption and uncertainty. Many patients had established relationships with their doctors for years, only to find themselves scrambling to locate new providers and navigate insurance confusion during an already stressful transition. What makes this even more frustrating is that public statements during the sale process suggested patients would continue to have access to their insurance coverage under the new ownership structure. Yet many patients later experienced uncertainty or loss of access depending on their plan participation and contract negotiations. The bankruptcy itself was tied to massive Medicare billing discrepancies reportedly totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Unfortunately, it feels like the people who paid the price were the patients -- particularly seniors and veterans who depended on stable healthcare access. Healthcare organizations should prioritize patient care and loyalty during transitions, not leave vulnerable populations feeling discarded. I sincerely hope veterans and affected patients receive the support and continuity of care they deserve moving forward.
