ok-i have to come out and say right off the bat that i am not an artist, nor do i work with…read moreglass--although i did work at a company that did a lot of glass walls--think 1/2 inch glass--but this is a lot different. my girlfriend is the artist and works with glass and she and i had a discussion about coming here. i am totally enamored with the tour, the production and the information presented. what really blew my mind away is the trememdous customer service attitude that i witnesses today. she needs something specific, and the great care that was shown her in finding particular colors of glass really impressed me. too often it seems that in a lot of places the care of the customer is overlooked. not here--by a long shot. and you gotta take the tour even if you are not looking to buy or work with glass. it is fantastic to watch and i suppose in the oven room on a very cold winter day would be a great place to be but even so today was delightful even with the heat outside. thanks again for the time and care that everyone showed us today in trying to find something special. and yes, the drive was worth it.

I took a tour of their factory today. Tours are available weekdays by calling their office. The 45 minute tour costs $6 for adults and $3 for students. The tour starts and ends in their small gift shop. We visited and saw demonstrations of molten glass moving from furnaces to make sheet glass. We learned about how they mix colors and recycle waste glass. We visited their warehouse and learned about the different qualities of glass and how the glass is shipped. Finally, we saw artisans making decor pieces from the glass. Our tour guide was friendly and interesting. I had trouble hearing her in the furnace room, but still was able to follow. Closed shoes must be worn (no sandals). They provide safety glasses. We found ample parking in their lot. Restrooms are available on site. The buildings are ancient and interesting. The furnace building holds a beehive furnace that was interesting, but is no longer operational. Worth a visit to this Indiana treasure.

They are a scam when it…read morecomes to cleaning at least and if you have them clean your pool, I'd recommend you watch them. If I didn't have cameras around my house, I would've been out a bunch of money. I hired them to "open" my pool. We did the deluxe option which includes; clean and remove winter cover, start equipment, reassemble ladder, diving board, returns and skimmers, vacuum pool (for ABOUT AN HOUR), and add opening chemicals. Everything was already put together, so they didn't have to do that. I also had already vacuumed/cleaned up the pool a little, but we were running out of time and wanted to have it cleaned for our party on the 4th, so we decided to hire the rest of the work out. All they had to do was add chemicals and vacuum for the $567.67. People were telling me that's a lot, but it was more for the convenience of having them do it vs me having to take off work and vacuum for the party, so I went ahead and did it. Now, the day of the service they called me at 3:01 and said they were on their way. I should start by saying I have cameras all around my house and watched them do my service. My father was at the house when they arrived at 3:35. They talked out front for a few minutes and then they pulled around to the pool at 3:39. They started the vacuum process with a VAC DADDY at 3:41 and pulled it out of the pool for the first and only at 3:52. Then they assembled their skimmer and skimmed the pool from 4:00-4:06. They put the skimmer away, shut the tailgate at 4:09 and drove away. Again, the whole point of hiring them was to vacuum the pool. I can add chemicals to it, no problem. The initial call, I made it clear I was looking for them to vacuum and they kept telling me they will vacuum for AN HOUR. Well after watching the cameras and seeing them only vacuum for 11 minutes, it was very frustrating to say the least. They also said they added 9 different chemicals and they didn't do that either. Of course I called asking for a refund because they didn't do what they were suppose to do. I kept bringing up the vacuuming because that was the main point of them coming and and Ty kept telling me "we vacuum for ABOUT AN HOUR". I don't know whos scale he's using, but about an hour to me is at least 45-50ish minutes, NOT 11 MINUTES! They didn't even vacuum for half the time they said they would, so ABOUT isn't the correct term to use. They ended up telling me to come into the store to get my refund and all I'd have to pay for is the chemicals. Watching them add what I thought at the time was a couple gallons of chlorine, I thought it would be $45 at most since they charge $12.99 for a gallon of chlorine. The chemicals they "added to the pool" added up to $220. I told them I'd be back tomorrow to sign the paper, so I can watch the cameras and see what chemicals they added and he stopped me and said, "if you sign the paper today, all we'll charge you is the chlorine". So I agreed and just so everyone's aware...the paper stated they'd never service me again (which I wouldn't hire them again anyways) and I'm not allowed to pursue any legal actions after receiving my refund. After watching the video last night, they only added 3 gallons of something (looked like chlorine), so I still overpaid. Also, when I got my "invoice" they told me their system automatically tracks how long they are at a jobsite and my time on the sheet was 1 hour and 6 minutes. It also showed they got there at 12:00 and left at 1:06, so that "automatic system" isn't correct at all seeing how they called me at 3:01 to say they were on their way and didn't arrive until 3:35. They continued to say they could've denied the vacuum and refunded me money, but they didn't. They went ahead and vacuumed for 11 minutes and charged me full price. If they would've told me they couldn't vacuum I wouldn't of hired them in the first place. Seeing how the vacuuming was the whole point. Long story short, I won't be using them ever again and I'd recommend no one else use them either.
