For more than a week, I was told that the distributor had not responded, that part information was still being verified, and that there was no confirmed date for delivery or installation. Because I have contractual obligations to my client and could not obtain a clear timeline for the project, I decided to cancel the work and hire another contractor. After I canceled, I was informed that I would be charged an additional $380 for a second visit and a cancellation fee. These charges were never disclosed to me beforehand, and I was not provided with any written agreement explaining cancellation fees or additional service charges beyond the original visit fee. My experience was frustrating because of the lack of communication, the absence of a clear project schedule, and the unexpected charges that appeared only after I decided to cancel.
