Bitterly disappointed with this garage. I took a 10 year old Subaru Outback in for a routine…read moreservice and to change the brake pads. I have to say that the man I dealt with at the service desk was perfectly polite and approachable. However, whoever reported what needed doing to the car is an outright disgrace. I was told that three brake callipers needed replacing or reconditioning (the cost for a recondition was estimated at £500-£600, replacements around three times that price), and was also told that the entire exhaust needed replacing - cost for this was quoted at around £2500 just for parts!! I asked if they could just replace the brake pads for the time being, but they stated that they were unable to do this due to the callipers being totally jammed. I took the car to another local garage for a second opinion on the brakes - fixed for £125 in total - the callipers were perfectly serviceable. Exhaust - it only needed two new flange joints welding in, and a couple of new hangers - fixed for £200 (and in fact I was quoted only £400 for a custom made stainless replacement). All in all, I feel that this garage is falsely misleading and attempted to rip me off. I just wanted others to be aware, hence the review. I just wonder how many unsuspecting people have been quoted for work that simply did not need doing.

Over the last 4 years we have purchased 2 vehicles from Riverside, both Martin and Mike are very…read morehelpful and friendly ( they do not pressure you to buy or hound you with phone calls everyday, unlike our local Ford Dealership), they only thing I would say which is no reflection on Riverside or it's staff is that the Warrenty on the Renault is not very good. I had a Citroen before this and the disc breaks used to stick so this was covered under the warrenty, but with Renault you have to pay. 5 stars for Riverside and 3 stars for the Renault Warrenty
