Beautiful views of the beach and mountains, but resort itself needs an upgrade. Tiles on the pool coming off, showers need a good cleaning, beds desperately need to be replaced. The buffet breakfast wasn't that good, but the lunch/dinner food is good (halo halo, ube cheesecake, sinigang with lechon!). We were in a rush one day so we pre-ordered lunch. Unfortunately the service was still slow and one meal came but the other didn't. We had several issues with service; messages not being passed to us, asking for a crib and receiving a cot, being told our room was being cleaned at the moment and then 2 hours later being told the same thing etc. The saving grace was that the resort is on an absolutely beautiful beach, and is a close walk to some shops. After catching up with a friend from the motherland, I had to make this review and revisit my time in Palawan! By the help of our local cousins, they helped book this vacation which included everything on our checklist. Beachside views, massages steps away, and awesome activities to keep us active. Word to the wise, don't go tanning before your massage. The light-skinned Filipino in me thought it would be smart to get aggressively sun-burnt, and still get a massage. No bueno. One thing that really stands out with this place, their cook/chef knows how to make quality food. Everything we had was really good. You can choose either buffet or à la carte as options in dining. The chicken tinola was really well seasoned, kinilaw (Ceviche) was awesome as usual, full of fish meat, pork adobo was so good as part of breakfast buffet, fresh coconut juice and many more. I can't name all of the food we ate as all of them were so enjoyable. They have live band at night and fire dance as entertainment. They have a basketball court, pool table, outdoor gym and a swimming pool that's almost twice the length of an Olympic pool but with a bar in the middle. Service here was excellente. read more

Located in Sabang beach area. Pretty secluded where you're between the mountain and beach. It's about an hour 20mins from Puerto Princessa. Hotel staff are friendly. The hotel itself is ok. Stayed here last month Aug 2018 for 4 nights visiting from USA. Resort is 1hr 45min drive on winding roads. The pool runs the length of the hotel & has different sections including a swim-up bar. You can borrow basketballs/ kick boards. Tourists brought blow up floaties & pool toys, which they allow. The pool looked brand new. There's a small outdoor gym. We stayed in the Palawan Suite. The shower ran ice cold every time during our 4 night stay. Family members who stayed in 2 other buildings on this trip did not have this issue (there are 4 separate buildings of hotel rooms). There is a mini bar in the room to purchase snacks/ drinks. There are 2 complimentary glass liters of water in front of the tv. There is 1 restaurant on the resort. The breakfast buffet is included every morning. Live entertainment during dinner. The resort isn't close to anything else, so we ate at the restaurant for every meal. The dishes were hit & miss. The drinking water is filtered & safe to drink. The restaurant has outdoor and "indoor" seating, but the indoor section is not actually enclosed, so you experience the same heat & flies/bugs as you do in the outdoor seating. There are stray dogs & cats walking around looking for scraps; the employees try to chase them out. They're not aggressive dogs though. Massage & facial was great & very inexpensive if you're converting from USD. The spa was no frills but worth the price. There is a third party company that has a desk in the lobby to book activities & tours. The activities were fun, but the woman at the front desk was NOT helpful. She didn't know what time any of the tours returned to the hotel or how to instruct people to dress appropriately for certain activities. ATV's are fun but wear slippers. Your sneakers will be completely soaked through with mud & dirt. Because of that front desk woman, my grandma was MISSING for HOURS. She chose to do the Bus Tour throughout the city by herself. The front desk woman told her the tour would begin 9:30am & she'd return to the hotel at 3pm. When she hadn't returned we went to the front desk, but we had just missed the employee because she left at 5pm. We had no way to contact my grandma or make sure she was okay. She did not return until 7:45pm. 5 hours past when she was supposed to be back. She completely missed our dinner reservations - if we had a flight that evening we would have missed it. Thank god my grandma speaks both Tagalog and Bisaya so she was able to communicate with everyone. If it were myself or another non-Tagalog speaker I would have been terrified. The next morning she went to the tour desk and confronted the woman asking for a refund or her supervisor's contact information and she continued to be unapologetic & useless. Same thing with the Sheridan Organic Farm Tour. The woman told us we'd return at 1pm. We got picked up from the farm to come back at 2pm. It doesn't seem like there are other tour companies in the area, so if you want to do excursions you have to book through them. Just be careful if you need to be back in time for dinner reservations or a flight. Housekeeping was bad. The first day housekeeping came, but did not restock our towels or other toiletries. The room barely looked touched. The next day we were out all morning, but my boyfriend wasn't feeling well so at 12 noon we decided to rest for a few hours. They hadn't come yet so we didn't get service that day which was okay, but we were still missing towels because they didn't properly restock the bathroom the previous day. That evening we asked for a new toilet paper roll because we were out of the 1 roll they gave us 2 days ago. The following day they did not come until after 4:30pm. We even sat outside our room for an hour because we saw they were almost at our room and we desperately did not want ours to get skipped for any reason. After an hour of waiting they still hadn't reached our room so we found something else to do. When we came back they had given us a few new towels, but it was still not fully restocked like when we checked in. Very stingy with toilet paper. They didn't restock the mini bar. We wanted more bottled water but they didn't replenish it. I believe laundry is same day service. When my mom's laundry was delivered the man apologized for putting her bra in the dryer. Her bra was destroyed. Upon checkout they said bottled water & Chips Ahoy were taken from our mini bar. There was never any Chips Ahoy in our mini bar, which means housekeeping didn't even replenish our room before we checked in. Luckily they didn't argue with us. It was a nice break from staying in small barrios, but housekeeping was a let down. I know the tour company is a third party, but you shouldn't have to set aside an entire day in case you don't get back when you expected. Our favorite things were the pool, Underground River Tour, & massages. Wifi password is free but connection is not very strong. I might consider staying here again. read more

However, the tile on the pool is coming loose and I cut my foot on the bottom of the pool the attendant did fetch me a band aid and showed concern The wifi is only available in some areas and very slow when it's available The staff and service was excellent. Very accommodating and welcoming The underground river is a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it as an excursion. Only a 10 minute boat ride away. The restaurant on site has a wonderful breakfast as well as several options on the menu Canned beverages are very expensive so walk down to the local store for better pricing on your water, snacks etc. The beach was very dingy in areas with litter, and I even found a board with a nail in it sticking in the sand. This is a beautiful beach resort with the feel of a small hotel. That's not even the best part. They provide beautiful rooms, great service, and organic cuisine. They grow most of their veggies on the premises. The supply their own power via solar, wind and generator. The prices over all are not rediculous. The resort is very close to the underground river, zip line, and waterfall. Be prepared for a 2 hour drive fron the Puerta Princesa. Snorkeling is a bit of a challenge as the ocean is quite active and the waves are good for boogie boarding. The local area is safe and so are the locals. Their are many places to get a 60 min massage for 400 pesos (about $10 US) beach front, seriously the best. The guests are from all over the world but the primary staff language is Taglog and English. read more

The main problem I have with the Sheridan is they charge a lot of money for airport pick up. They are already expensive. Then I was charged 1500 pesos (my wife, daughter and I) for a ride to the resort, in the resort's van no less. The resort is at least 2 hours from the airport, which is another problem for a recently arrived and weary traveler. Other than this, the Sheridan is pleasant. The service is good as well. read more

We arranged for a pickup/drop-off with the hotel; very expensive. It was a 2 hour drive give or take. The road is zig zag once the climb to the mountains begin and not very pleasant specially if the driver is going really fast. We were relieved to finally get to Sheridan. The place is as nice as you see in the pictures but of course it's always better to actually see it. When you step out of the lobby into the courtyard, you'll have the picturistic view of the pool with the ocean as the back drop surrounded by the resort structures. The pool needs repair as the tiles are coming off and kids are collecting them so there are a lot of missing tiles. Our room is just as expected in a five star resort. Our package came with breakfast buffet. They have a good selection but most were a little too heavy to have in the mornings. Otherwise, their food is good. Take note, the food all come from one place, the South Sea Restaurant. You can't complain about the prices just because as travelers, we should know that a place like this will cost that much. They also have buffet lunches and buffet dinners. You can order ala carte as another option. During dinner, they have talents performing. The singers sing mostly ballad and the same songs which can get really old after the third night. They have fire dancers who practically have the same routine but are really cool to watch... every night :) Oh, don't mistake the Sports Bar as a place to eat. It's an outdoor covered play area with two pool tables, table hockey, ping pong table and a separate play area for the little kid. There's a small place with workout equipment right next to the Sports Bar. Equipment might need a little bit of tune-up or updating. We availed of the services at the Sheridan Nature Spa and got a couples one hour massage. You can't go wrong with a massage. What I wasn't comfortable with was having thin white sheets that divide the rooms. You can see other people and they can see you. If you're okay with that then there's no problem. They offer much cheaper massages outside of the resort but we wanted to indulged. Recommend a walk on the beach every morning you are there (rain permitting) around 5:30'ish. Swimming at the beach is also recommended; water is always warm. The Underground River tour is a must. So is zip lining at Sabang Zipline. For great snorkeling, do the Honda Bay tour. Beautiful resort! Poolside room is highly recommended if your budget can swing it. Beds and pillows are comfortable but towels can be a little better (the bath floor towel is softer than the body towels). Bar mixed drinks aren't that good so I mainly drank beer. The main downfall is the restaurant isn't very good. But just a nice stroll down the beach is a very, very good restaurant at the neighboring Daluyon resort. read more

My review of Sheridan Beach Resort and Spa is long overdue. My husband, daughter and I visited Palawan for the first time on December 2016 (1st visit to the Philippines for hubby and daughter). We looked at various resorts and eventually booked Sheridan Resort because of the beautiful pictures of the pool, proximaty to the beach and they offered the Underground River Tour (hubby's request!). Our first day at Sheridan Resort started off with a hiccup. I was very disappointed with the shuttle driver, Glenn who drove us to the Resort from the airport. I have given notice to the Reservations Associate, Ms. Cuvinar ahead of time that I will rent the Resort Van exclusively because I figured this will allow us time to run in to a Supermarket and purchase bottled waters for our stay at the Resort (any tourist would agree that the last thing you want on a trip is to be sick of travellers diarrhea due to contaminated water). My husband and I specifically advised the driver that we wanted to go to a Supermarket to quickly purchase bottled waters. Unfortunately, Glenn drove us to a small dirty convenience store and told us there is NO Supermarket. 30 minutes later.... a Supermarket! A few minutes later after the first Supermarket, we found another one! We felt that we've been intentionally lied to which does not sit well with us. As soon as we arrived at the Resort we spoke to the Front Office Manager, Mr. Besid and advised him of this incident. This is where my 4 stars come in for this review. Mr. Besid and his reception staff must be commended for their professionalism. Eventhough I was upset, angry and very dismissive, Mr. Besid and his staff were apologetic, professonal and owned up to the mistake created by their driver. That to me is worth a great review. The food was amazing! My husband and daughter ate their very first Bibingka and Puto Bumbong at Sheridan and loved it! My daughter and I treated our self to a Massage, their Spa was great... so relaxing! The pool. That pool was beautiful! It was HUGE! My husband don't normally use the pools in our travels, however, he very much enjoyed Sheridan's pool that he didn't want to leave! We also took advantage of the beach which was just a stones throw away! We thoroughly enjoyed this Resort. The family room was great and just the perfect size - no problem with the aircon and no problem with the shower water pressure, it worked beautifully! Would we consider Sheridan Resort again and recommend this Resort to anyone else? Yes! The Resort is really amazing!
