Stayed here last month Aug 2018 for 4 nights visiting from USA. Resort is 1hr 45min drive on winding roads. The pool runs the length of the hotel & has different sections including a swim-up bar. You can borrow basketballs/ kick boards. Tourists brought blow up floaties & pool toys, which they allow. The pool looked brand new. There's a small outdoor gym. We stayed in the Palawan Suite. The shower ran ice cold every time during our 4 night stay. Family members who stayed in 2 other buildings on this trip did not have this issue (there are 4 separate buildings of hotel rooms). There is a mini bar in the room to purchase snacks/ drinks. There are 2 complimentary glass liters of water in front of the tv. There is 1 restaurant on the resort. The breakfast buffet is included every morning. Live entertainment during dinner. The resort isn't close to anything else, so we ate at the restaurant for every meal. The dishes were hit & miss. The drinking water is filtered & safe to drink. The restaurant has outdoor and "indoor" seating, but the indoor section is not actually enclosed, so you experience the same heat & flies/bugs as you do in the outdoor seating. There are stray dogs & cats walking around looking for scraps; the employees try to chase them out. They're not aggressive dogs though. Massage & facial was great & very inexpensive if you're converting from USD. The spa was no frills but worth the price. There is a third party company that has a desk in the lobby to book activities & tours. The activities were fun, but the woman at the front desk was NOT helpful. She didn't know what time any of the tours returned to the hotel or how to instruct people to dress appropriately for certain activities. ATV's are fun but wear slippers. Your sneakers will be completely soaked through with mud & dirt. Because of that front desk woman, my grandma was MISSING for HOURS. She chose to do the Bus Tour throughout the city by herself. The front desk woman told her the tour would begin 9:30am & she'd return to the hotel at 3pm. When she hadn't returned we went to the front desk, but we had just missed the employee because she left at 5pm. We had no way to contact my grandma or make sure she was okay. She did not return until 7:45pm. 5 hours past when she was supposed to be back. She completely missed our dinner reservations - if we had a flight that evening we would have missed it. Thank god my grandma speaks both Tagalog and Bisaya so she was able to communicate with everyone. If it were myself or another non-Tagalog speaker I would have been terrified. The next morning she went to the tour desk and confronted the woman asking for a refund or her supervisor's contact information and she continued to be unapologetic & useless. Same thing with the Sheridan Organic Farm Tour. The woman told us we'd return at 1pm. We got picked up from the farm to come back at 2pm. It doesn't seem like there are other tour companies in the area, so if you want to do excursions you have to book through them. Just be careful if you need to be back in time for dinner reservations or a flight. Housekeeping was bad. The first day housekeeping came, but did not restock our towels or other toiletries. The room barely looked touched. The next day we were out all morning, but my boyfriend wasn't feeling well so at 12 noon we decided to rest for a few hours. They hadn't come yet so we didn't get service that day which was okay, but we were still missing towels because they didn't properly restock the bathroom the previous day. That evening we asked for a new toilet paper roll because we were out of the 1 roll they gave us 2 days ago. The following day they did not come until after 4:30pm. We even sat outside our room for an hour because we saw they were almost at our room and we desperately did not want ours to get skipped for any reason. After an hour of waiting they still hadn't reached our room so we found something else to do. When we came back they had given us a few new towels, but it was still not fully restocked like when we checked in. Very stingy with toilet paper. They didn't restock the mini bar. We wanted more bottled water but they didn't replenish it. I believe laundry is same day service. When my mom's laundry was delivered the man apologized for putting her bra in the dryer. Her bra was destroyed. Upon checkout they said bottled water & Chips Ahoy were taken from our mini bar. There was never any Chips Ahoy in our mini bar, which means housekeeping didn't even replenish our room before we checked in. Luckily they didn't argue with us. It was a nice break from staying in small barrios, but housekeeping was a let down. I know the tour company is a third party, but you shouldn't have to set aside an entire day in case you don't get back when you expected. Our favorite things were the pool, Underground River Tour, & massages. Wifi password is free but connection is not very strong. I might consider staying here again.

This is a beautiful beach resort with the feel of a small hotel. That's not even the best part. They provide beautiful rooms, great service, and organic cuisine. They grow most of their veggies on the premises. The supply their own power via solar, wind and generator. The prices over all are not rediculous. The resort is very close to the underground river, zip line, and waterfall. Be prepared for a 2 hour drive fron the Puerta Princesa. Snorkeling is a bit of a challenge as the ocean is quite active and the waves are good for boogie boarding. The local area is safe and so are the locals. Their are many places to get a 60 min massage for 400 pesos (about $10 US) beach front, seriously the best. The guests are from all over the world but the primary staff language is Taglog and English.

Daluyon Resort - Dinner last night was like a scene straight out of the Bachelor! ;)

Amazing place! This…read moreresort is one place where I say it matches or exceeds what you see on social media. The staff are wonderful, and the cabins are super nicely equipped. It's about 2 hr drive from PPS airport, but the resort can arrange transportation for you. Plenty of activities for you to do here. Go do the banyan forest tour, Zipline, get a massage on the beach, and drink coconuts. We came here during Christmas and it was pretty cool that all of the staff were involved in the dinner entertainment too.

    * 1900th Review *…read more That picture perfect paradise you've seen on a postcard? That is Daluyon Resort in real life. A two hour car ride from the island's main airport, Daluyon is a beachfront property that's located on a small fishing village on Palawan's West side. While most backpackers and tourists head to El Nido or Coron, this has more of a local feel. Most of the staff call Daluyon home, not only because of its gorgeous surroundings, but also because they are from Palawan. And why wouldn't you stay here? you can wake up to the sounds of the waves lapping against the shore. All their accommodations are 2 story bungalows which felt private and luxurious. The wide balconies with rocking chairs was perfect for watching island wake up. You don't even need to leave the room until you're ready to eat breakfast since coffee and tea is provided. Speaking of food, you can take a short walk to town for super cheap lunches and dinners, but since we were treating ourselves (and the resort's food was so affordable anyway) we ate mostly at the restaurant. The food is top notch with sumptuous flavors and delicious dishes that's sure to satisfy every craving. If you're here on a weekend, take advantage of their very romantic dinner on the beach and pay the extra 300 pesos (about $6) for the set up. It felt like a scene straight out of the "Bachelor" and it was worth experiencing sand on your toes while you feed each other fried calamari :) If you're thinking staying at this quiet town will have you bored in two seconds flat, that's where you're wrong. Aside from the usual relaxing on the beach while reading Game of Thrones, the resort provides equipment to keep you physically engaged with nature: kayaks, scuba gear, snorkeling stuff, etc. When you get tired, head to the swim up bar and refresh with a Pina Colada. If the tropical heat gets to you and you prefer to be in the shade, order a "Halo-Halo", a typical Filipino dessert made with crushed ice, beans, tapioca balls, rice crispies, milk and ice cream. MMM! Aside from having the mountains as your backdrop and the beach at your disposal, the biggest plus of staying at Daluyon Resort is its close proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage site Puerto Princesa Underground River. It's only a 20 minute boat ride! that saved us precious time, especially since my schedule didn't allow for an extended stay on the island. We've had a very memorable stay at Daluyon and we can't wait to return soon, because we all know, it's #morefuninthePhillippines!

But what impressed me most was the front desk, restaurant, accommodations, tour plans and water park. The front desk was prompt to our needs. They made every effort to ensure that my girl friend and I were satisfied and having a great experience. We were upgraded immediately when our landline phone was not working. The restaurant's breakfast and dinners were delicious. A taco night, who would have known. For breakfast, main dishes were changed daily giving you an opportunity to taste something new. Each night, a fire show capped off a wonderful evening. The accommodations were very good. The pillows and bed were vey comfortable. I liked that the shower and toilet area being separated giving us privacy. The tour plan was convenient and prompt. The tour vans were on time and they was no waiting. Tour plans were for many wonderful locations. We went island hopping one day. It included snorkeling in many locations over coral reefs and a lunch on one small island. Our other tour was to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This is something I will never forget. We also did a Mangrove tour by indigenous locals and zip lining nearby. What a wonderful trip created by the tour planners for us. The water park was amazing. Many slides and lots of water. Additionally, the water was very clean and there were many life guards on duty. I will go back or visit one of their other resorts.

Whoa...This is a true island paradise…read more I found this resort by using Yelp. Thanks again Yelpers for leading me in the right direction. I guess I hadn't really done my complete research on this place because I didn't know that we were going to a totally secluded island resort. We took a plane, then a 40 minute van ride, then a 1 hour boat ride. The journey there is part of the fun. Here are some things you might want to know when you are traveling to Dos Palmas Isand Resort and Spa: *There is an older man on the boat ride to the island who will make things out of palm fronds and he will give them to you. He will not ask for money or tips but just know that he is doing this for tips. This is probably the only payment he will receive for being on the boat, helping you get on and off the boat and helping you with your life jacket. Please tip him! *There are no outside amenities on this island. No shops to purchase resort wear, no vendors selling outside food or trinkets, no stores selling food or drinks. (There is a VERY small gift shop that sells a couple of things.) I would recommend bringing a few snack items to have in your room. *If I came here again, I would bring a few inflatable pool tubes. I thought they might sell them here, but they don't. *The only wifi is in the restaurant. It is terrible! I wouldn't plan on using your phone or ipad while you are here. I couldn't get a wifi connection the entire time we were here. *The one and only restaurant has a rather limited menu but we found the food to be quite good. Aside from the pizza, everything else we ordered surpassed our expectations. The breakfast buffet is included in the price of your room...this was also quite good. *They have free coffee and tea available all day. *The rooms are nice and quiet. We could not hear any of our neighbors. we enjoyed our stay at Dos Palmas and we would not hesitate to stay here again. We were here at the end of March and it wasn't tourist season yet. The weather was perfect and the resort wasn't crowded.

Wow, an island of fun, good food, beach and sun. A very good place to escape from the grid (no TV…read moreor internet). Slow internet is not considered on the grid IMO. They have tons of options in activities: island hopping, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding. They also have lap pool and a regular swimming pool. The water in their pool is seawater. They have a full size basketball court where you can play with the staff who stays in the island. They have karaoke rooms, pool table, foosball, table tennis, and a tennis court. Food is also without a question, enjoyable. But we find Sheridan's food better in terms of flavor. Everyone here is nice, service is excellent. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from technology. My only gripe is the unnecessary island orientation when you first arrive. They'll hand out the schedule of activities. Unless you're really that dumb, the orientation wasn't needed, it was rather time consuming coz they wont start unless every guest are present.

Another heads up, the road to get here is winding and for those that are more sensitive to nausea, be careful. But trust me, it's worth it! My family and I stayed in a House Villa for 4 days and 3 nights. The Villa came with 3 bed rooms, 3 indoor bathrooms, 1 outdoor bathroom, a common living space, and a private pool. The rooms were cozy, very bungalow beach vibes. You can even open all the windows and doors for a large open space but we didn't do that because of all the mosquitos. The bed was king size and pretty comfy, and the room came with everything extra you expect in a hotel/resort: closest, safe, towels, slippers, ironing boarding, iron, robes, hair dryer, etc. They have a beautiful salt water pool that goes super deep, a pool bar, massage huts, and a restaurant that serves mainly a la carte style for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast was included during our stay. Breakfast was awesome though, it was a la carte, but you could order anything you wanted from the menu and change it up too. I highly recommend the Filipino breakfast (they slightly change it daily, from corn beef to tocino, etc.) and the Daluyon oatmeal. They can be little slow with service though because the lack of employees, but we also went during their "off" season. The best part about this place is how close the beach is, just a couple of feet outside our Villa. They also have a life guard on duty on the beach and offer free kayaking and paddle boarding. And if lying around the beach all day isn't your thing, you can go to the front desk to book excursion tours to explore the area. Random note, they have a lot of stray cats and dogs roaming around, but they don't bother anyone. Over all, it was a great stay and I would recommend anyone that plans on going to that area of Palawan to stay here (over Sheridan haha).
