When passing through town, or staying in Help visiting family, I've stopped by this gas station a few times. I usually think "a gas station's a gas station" right? But this one has something funky going on with the pumps. They are so slow. I was pumping the gas while my wife went inside to use the restroom. Stopped on our way from Lehi to Moab to use the restroom and get a snack. Honestly, the bathrooms were clean and more than ample! Didn't' mind using the restroom in a gas station here. We also were able to snag some candy bars that are sometimes hard to find (Fifth Avenue, sugar babies) so folks in my party were happy. Would stop again. read more

This is a typical gas station/convenience store/fast food counter however Helper, Utah is the absolute middle of nowhere and there is not much else in this town (for businesses) other than this. After hitting a deer in our rental car we were stranded here for 5 hours whilst waiting for a replacement car to be delivered and the women who worked here were so friendly I had to do a write-up. They all were really sympathetic to our situation and made us feel comfortable during our wait. They even gave us free chips to munch on and helped us pass the time by making conversation. It is doubtful that any of them will read this but if they do I want them to know that we "city folk" really appreciated their small town hospitality. read more

Let me tell you about my experience I had with the ever so friendly Viola on 08/10/2017 at approximately 11:30 p.m. I called Swifts requesting a large breakfast pizza with no hash browns and canadian bacon. She informed me that she was working alone and had to deal with customers as they came in. I then asked her if she could give a rough estimate on how long it would take to be done... Her comment was, (in an ever so pleasant voice) "I just got done telling you that I have to deal with customers as they come in and I don't know how long it would be". (she really was not at all pleasant about this. She kept yelling about how long it would take so I interrupted her and said, "nevermind, you can cancel that order, I don't like your customer service" and then hung up. My girlfriend and I were hungry so I asked her to call and see if she could get a different response. She called and did not have any issues. Now onto when we go pick up the pizza... I send my girlfriend to go in and pick up the pizza because I truly do not even want to see Ms. Viola's face. As my girlfriend is trying to pay for the pizza, Ms. Pleasant Viola starts yelling at my girlfriend saying that if she ever finds out who we are she will get us permanently banned from this establishment and being completely disrespectful to my girlfriend for absolutely no reason. My girlfriend then comes out to the car pretty upset about what had happened in there so I became much more aggitated at this point. I then proceed to call Ms. Pleasant Viola requesting her bosses information and this is typed verbatim according to the phone call I had with her... "Swifts this is Viola" "Hi I would like your bosses information please" "Is this Sean?" "Yes and I would like your bosses information" "How about instead you come in here and let me see your face so I can get you banned from this establishment permanently" "I would like your bosses information" "You can call her after 8 and complain about me all you want. My name is Viola. You will never step foot in this store again." "And what is her name" "Call her tomorrow and complain" "What is your bosses name" She then decided to hang up on me at this time.. I plan on calling tomorrow, I will update with the out come. Update: Manager Chris Gray called me this morning on 08/11/2017 at approximately 9:45 a.m. She was so much more pleasant than Ms. Viola! She called me and immediately started yelling at me for treating her employee badly. I then asked her if her calls were recorded because if they were she needs to go review the calls because her employee is obviously lying about what had occurred. She stated they are not and then accussed me of being upset about how long the pizza was going to take to be made. I tried informing her that it has nothing to do with how long the pizza was going to take and everything to do with how Viola treated my girlfriend. She then made the comment, "if this is about how she treated your girlfriend then this is between her and Viola and you need to stay out of it." This completely ignorant comment aggravated me so I informed her that she is the worst owner and boss on this planet and hung up. Please be advised, this is seriously my 100% honest experience with this place. I work with Felons that are much more respectful than either of these individuals are. read more

I don't know that I've ever dealt with such rude and unprofessional costumer service. Waited to order a sandwich at the counter for about 20 minutes while a snotty short gray haired lady by the name Lisa sat at one of the registers on her phone. Finally a lady by the name of Paula who was outside emptying the trashes next to the pumps came in and made our sandwich. Paula was nice and apologized for our wait. So after Paula made our sandwich we were ready to check out, Lisa continued sitting at one of the registers without helping anyone, the lady at the other register (didn't get her name) helped everyone get checked out (there were 3 groups of people). I think the thing that upset me the most was the Lisa had walked by us before sitting at the register, knowing we were there to order a sandwich, she also looked at us several time while sitting at the register. There was also a time a cashier by the name of Anita, gave me the wrong change, I had give her a $10 and she gave me change for a $20, so she gave me too much change. When I told her she gave me too much change she hollered "NO I DIDN'T) she grabbed the money out of my hands and counted it, while my bill was on top of the register. So she realizes she did in fact give me too much change, she gives me correct charge. No apology, no thank you, just a stare. read more

One of the better examples of a small town convenience store with food services. I recent came into this town and found myself looking for a bite to eat on the run down to Provo. I stopped in here thinking I'd have to settle for over deep fried crap. Turns out I was very wrong! These girls cook anything on the menu to order, Freshly Grilled Burgers and Sub Sandwiches on choice of Wheat/White fresh bread. Tons of meat selection for the subs and usual American choices for the burgers. They do an assortment of little goodies right down to some regular fries. Prices are a little uncharged but that's because it's right off the highway. One tip, buy your food here but don't buy ANYTHING else. The cigarettes are up charged horribly and bottle soda or water is almost offensively over priced. Gas is also more expensive, do yourself a favor, treat this place as a burger shack and go down the street for the rest. Either way though, food is decent, staff friendly, and it's -clean- read more

I totally agree with the reviews above, I'm from florida and now live in the town of Helper, I've said all of the things in my househlold about "Swifts". I would'nt buy smokes or gas but I do enjoy a double bacon cheese burger once in a while :) read more
