As a Jehovah's Witness, she was dedicated to spreading her faith and sharing the message of salvation with anyone willing to listen. This quiet suburban neighborhood was her mission field today. Customers hurried in and out of the store, most of them barely acknowledging Martha's presence. She greeted each one with a warm smile, offering them pamphlets with titles like "The Path to Eternal Life" and "Finding Hope in a Troubled World." One elderly gentleman with a cane paused to chat. Martha explained her beliefs and the importance of faith in her life. He nodded politely and accepted a pamphlet before shuffling into the store. A young mother, struggling to manage her two rowdy kids, smiled wearily at Martha but declined the pamphlet. Undeterred, Martha said, "If you ever have questions or need support, don't hesitate to reach out." As the morning passed, the sun climbed higher in the sky, and the stream of customers continued. Martha was met with a mix of reactions, from polite refusals to the occasional in-depth conversation. She was patient and empathetic, knowing that everyone had their own spiritual journey. Around noon, a disheveled man in his early thirties approached. His eyes were bloodshot, and he looked like he had been through some tough times. "Hey," he mumbled, barely making eye contact. Martha smiled warmly and handed him a pamphlet. "Hi there, would you like to learn about the hope that faith can bring to your life?" The man hesitated for a moment, then nodded. He took the pamphlet and shuffled to a nearby bench. Martha joined him, and for the next half hour, they talked about faith, hope, and the struggles that life had thrown at him. The man had hit rock bottom, and this chance encounter with Martha offered a glimmer of hope. Before leaving, he thanked Martha for her kindness and guidance, promising to visit the local Kingdom Hall, where Jehovah's Witnesses congregated. As the day drew to a close, Martha realized that while many people had passed her by, her presence had made a difference in at least one person's life. She packed her remaining pamphlets, feeling fulfilled by her mission of spreading the message of faith and hope, even outside a humble Circle K.

Great spot along Van Buren to stop for gas & an energy drink/ coffee or whatever tickles your fancy…read more What I like is their customer service! I was pumping gas and needed a receipt. The machine wasn't working and luckily an attendant was sweeping outside because I just so happened to have my pup with me in the car. Of course I wasn't going to leave my fur baby in the car to go inside and then the attendant ran in to get my receipt. She also stated that the reason the machines don't work half the time is because of the way the receipts are torn. So pumpers beware of the way you retrieve your receipts at the pump. Be gentle! Lol
