Very clean convenience store. Prices are NOT posted for candy or other items. I was told by the man at the cash register that I needed to bring each item to the register to determine the price. This is ridiculous... omitting prices at the shelf is not legal in many states but apparently it's okay in Texas. It enables price discrimination against women, children and people of color. The guy quoted me $1.40 for a small bag of peanut M&M's. I will not be returning. read more

It's empty, and I just needed to pay for a water and gas. And the worker is sitting behind the register laughing and talking with her friend who didn't work there. She would NOT look at me. I tried to talk to her and she ignored me. I was being persistent and she finally looked, starting ringing me up, and I asked for a lotto ticket and she rolled her eyes, and gave me a total. I wasn't even done yet and she goes back to her friends. I had to wait. Again. And she finally rang me up. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

This store has a great location for all the hungry clients that come across the border…read more Unfortunately they take advantage of that and offer poor customer service and prices above retail since there is no other stores nearby. They have signs all across that state "no public restroom" which is very understandable. They charge $1 to use and they bathrooms are filthy. If a patron is paying for a service then the basics like soap and paper should be provided. I'd stay away from this location if possible and drive a few more minutes down the road to the next service station.

Stopped into stripes so hubby could wash the car and I could use the ladies room. The ladies room…read morewas gross. If I didn't have to go, I would have held it and gone somewhere else. I chose to clean my hands with my own hand sanitizer afterwards. My husband had purchased a car wash at the pump. We pull up and see that the machine is not cleaning the driver side rear of the car... so we don't have a choice we are in line and it's taken our money. My husband said he would ask for a refund if it didn't clean the back. It's one thing for an automated machine to mix a part of the car but half? That's crazy... my husband thought that the person that was in front of us maybe had pulled into the machine over to one side too much and perhaps this caused the problem.. but alas, no. We still had the same problem as the first car. We pull up to the gas station to show someone and ask for a refund or something because one half of the back isn't washed. They tell us they can't give a refund. They the. Proceed to send us back in the car wash to apparently see if there is an issue. They then see it. We can see the cars behind us pointing to the back of our car and complaining they also don't want the same result on their own automobiles. He proceeded to tel my husband he can't get a refund because he paid at the pump and it gave him a discount... no idea. I didn't realize that it did. Maybe it did. Don't know. We got the general managers number and will call when we return home from our trip as we do not live in this part of Texas. I felt anyone in the area needed to know so I created this listing on yelp so I could post our experience. Don't think we will be back to stripes.
