I ordered a 3 piece (2 legs and 1 thigh snack) and a 5 piece chicken tenders meal with potatoes. Went to cashier who seemed pleasant enough but seemed to be mentally and emotionally challenged. She told the deli lady that she did not have enough info on the boxes to ring up my order. One box had "3 piece chkn snack" written on it. The other had "5 tender meal" on it. The cashier insisted to the deli lady that she would get in bad trouble if she did not ring up the chicken pieces individually. She seemed to fear having to discuss this issue with her boss. The deli lady mentioned to the cashier that she had a "snack button" on her register. The cashier rang me up and the total for 5 TENDERS 2LEGS AND A THIGH was $18. When I questioned the cashier, she told me "prices had gone up." I asked for the manager and was told the manager was not there. I asked several times for the manager's name and a way to contact them. The cashier finally told me that the manager was sick, told me a first name (Janet?) and told me she had no way to get in touch with her boss (which, if true, indicates managerial incompetence, insurance/liability/risk management issues in addition to the poor hiring/training skills). I will not be back and will post this complaint with BBB. Circle K franchise management should also be told about their flag on this disgusting store that is representing them.

I saw the sign for Hickory Flat and thought we'd need to keep driving. I was thrilled to see Exxon listed on the last exit sign. The restroom was first on my list and it was very clean. Yay! When I first walked into the truck stop, I noticed there were a lot of people having breakfast or just coffee and hanging out with their retired friends. Assuming this is the only place in town. As always, I walked up and down the few aisles to see if there was anything I couldn't live without. I found my husband staring at the hot food display. So glad he was. They had what appeared to be blueberry biscuits. Just like Bojangles used to have. There are still Bojangles restaurants but not in our area. We bought one for each of us and after the first bite I knew that was a good call. If I'd have bought more, we would have polished off as many as there were. Good grief they were gooooood! So, if you are ever passing through Hickory Flat in the morning hours, stop and pick up a blueberry-honey biscuit. You won't be disappointed.

They explained what the issue was and got it fixed in a few hours. The pricing is also extremely fair. I will not be going anywhere else but Darby's Tire & Auto. As a younger woman who clearly didn't know much about the issue, it was nice knowing they didn't take advantage of that like other experiences I have had in town.
