This Shell is an exception. The owner clearly has a steady rotation of Shark Tank, Tony Robbins motivational speeches, and customer service training videos on repeat on their YouTube playlist. The employees are so friendly you feel like you should hug them. The store is immaculate. The occasional perks and overall lack of up selling is icing on the cake. I don't feel obligated to defend my views on why I don't want to take advantage of their impulse buy chocolate bar sales, and their occasional "customer appreciation day" bonuses of a free coffee or bottle of water, banana, and brownie for the morning commute to work make this place seem like the gas station version of cheers. But instead of Cliff the friendly mailman, you have the guy at pump 2 smoking and texting while pumping and playing Russian roulette with your lives with his egregious violations of clearly posted pump sticker rules. Violating pump sticker warnings is punishable by stockade in many European countries. But before I get further off track, if you're a Hamilton road east bound or Highbury Ave northbound commuter and play chicken with your gas light on the regular, I highly recommend making this station a go to fill up and fresh breath Bat belt tool reloading station. Complaint it to the Garv (worst service representative) and he tried to divert the request by saying we do not manage application and asked us to contact customer service. There are other promos too listed in the app and it does change. Their staff is very friendly. One even reminded me of a promo for free cell phone with top up (so now I got a spare smartphone in case mine goes bust). The store is at a very busy intersection and is very popular with school kids buying slurpees. It is also well laid out. Lines can be very long though because they only have 2 cash registers. 7-Eleven also has the cheapest prepaid cell phone service where the top ups have a 365 day expiry date (or when you use it up, which ever comes first) compared to other companies that want you to top up every month just to keep your credit balance.

I have had my car get stuck in there twice this winter as they do not own a snow blower or apparently a shovel...and they would give me no assistance in getting out. I went last week for $10 worth of gas and tried to give him a $5, two toonies and an loonie but he said he would be back as he was wearing gloves and could not hold it. He then proceeded to walk over to the air/vacuuming station to help someone: it took less than 2 minutes to get the $10 but I sat there and sat there as he was helping the other person. Other staff to take over? No where to be found. I finally got out, unhooked the nozzle, left the $10 on the pump and drove off. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN.
