We live in California so finding a local attorney who could work with us long distance was a concern. Mr. Kilpatrick & his staff could not have been more accommodating. The documents he created will protect our loved one's estate from both unnecessary tax consequences as well as ensure a fair distribution of assets in accordance with our loved ones wishes. When we flew into Olive Branch to help my mother-in-law and her husband complete & sign documents, Mr. Kilpatrick extended an open invitation to come into his office anytime that was convenient for us during business hours, no appointment required. His associate even came out to our car to get documents signed & notarized because our loved ones are not very mobile. His fees for creating two (2) trusts plus power of attorney & other related documents was less than half the price my wife & I spent recently to create a single trust. His firm was accessible and responsive to our needs from the moment we first contacted him. Estate planning is a complicated but yet absolutely critical process. Choosing the right attorney for this service will ensure a pleasant, informative experience and will quite literally save you a fortune.

He waited till the day before trial to discuss defense strategies. The day of the trial he mis-represented a plea deal. I found out several days later that the deal he told me was not the deal that was put down into writing. His response was that he didn't know the exact term of the deals of the time but that he was assured I wasn't being treated unfairly. When I posted a honest but negative review on Avvo, his response to me was very argumentative and there were times when I felt he came close to threatening me to take the review down. I don't feel he conducted himself in a professional manner. I have nothing against Mr. Kilpatrick personally, I just wanted to help others avoid the mistake I feel I made.
