I couldn't remember what my monthly payment is or the total financed amount so she couldn't authenticate my account and couldn't help me unlock my online profile. I paid our golf cart off a year ago and for the past three months have been trying to get a letter showing I paid in full. I cannot use or sell the golf cart until I have it. They put you on a 30 minute hold and then they tell you "it's in the mail." I had two different dates I was told it was mailed and I still do not have the letter. I have tried to be patient but I lost it today. I do not like having to be a Karen to get something done, but enough is enough. Finally today they are sending it overnight by UPS. Worse is financial company I have ever worked with, cannot email me a form to where I could do ACH monthly payments even though I tried multiple times, them multiple payments by check many of which I've canceled because they've never been cashed and they they never got them (could be true with the postal system), finally just paid off the loan over the Internet for the payoff amount and then they come back with a bullshit fee of $38.50 that I I pay the loan off. They are ok if you don't setup auto draft for payments, just pay online. Also, you will sometimes get someone if you call that is a real smart___ but not every time. They lost my title once and I had to go through a nightmare to get another title. read more

This is by far the absolute WORST finance organization you can possibly deal with in the history of the USA. They are based in Winston-Salem North Carolina. After setting up my online account, there is no option to make additional Principle-only payments. My mortgage company certainly allows me to do this, just like every other finance company I have ever dealt with. How can they get away with this? In my account, there is zero information available regarding exactly what the trailer VIN number is that is associated with my loan. At the dealership, we had to make a trailer swap because of an incorrect rear door configuration during construction, and there is a new VIN number for the new trailer. Sheffield does not seem to be able to do a simple collateral change request. If you call them, they will transfer you around to a wide variety of individuals and departments that are absolutely clueless, and will provide no valuable assistance whatsoever. Your chances of being hung up on are very good. I will be paying off this ridiculous obnoxious loan as soon as humanly possible. Consider yourself WARNED about Sheffield Financial. read more

They make it impossible to set up autopay, which in turn makes you late on your payments by the time you deal with their automated system. When I asked them to work around my new phone number, they insisted that this was the only way to verify my identity, despite the fact that I gave them my SSN, DOB, old phone numbers, and have numerous federal IDs to verify my identity.
