IF I could give zero stars I would. I had submitted a request for finding someone on Friday and the website states I had 7 days to pay. I went on a camping trip over the weekend with no service and came back to find 3 emails and 2 text messages- within 2 days! Sunday morning came the first threat from this company that they would make it a "VERY uncomfortable situation" for me if I failed to pay. He then proceeded to quote incorrect information about me including the country I lived in, how long i've lived in my home, my DOB (all which was actually provided to him) and my partners name. I am 100000% relieved I did not pay him money - if he couldn't even get my information accurate which was given to him, no way any information in a report was going to be accurate. COMPLETE SCAM- DO NOT GIVE HIM MONEY! read more

I see burchell has replied to my review. After threatening to take us to court he backed down when he knew we'd fight the case! Anyone uncertain should call Tony Imossi at the ABI in Elstree. The association of British investigators. Tony has received numerous complaints regarding burchell who's based in Tunbridge Wells of course. He's actually very easy to find. The scam is he'll say he's found the person which he hasn't of course, if the client/ target/victim will not pay burchell then starts legal proceedings thru the county court which is very easy and cheap to do and scares many people of course. Burchell of course will add on all sorts of pseudo costs to make even more money on the scam. It's so easy to do especially as PIs in the UK don't have to be licensed or checked out either by any government department. read more

I used UKPI for a surveillance job to find out where my ex partner is living and paid upfront for 10 hours of work. All I got was a photo of said partner on a tube and then I was told the operative lost him and could not find out where he is living. It was a waste of money to use this company. They were quick to take your money upfront but the job was not completed thoroughly. Do NOT use this service. read more

I too was sent a false address and when I asked for a refund they refused, asking me to prove that I went there. Even after I gave them a copy of my train ticket they still didn't want to believe me. They had no sympathy at all and some of their emails were downright rude. Please avoid!! read more

Very disappointed with the service. Tim Burchell promised to get lots of information for me until I paid then delivered the wrong address and refused to give me the other information. After contacting him saying I was unhappy with his investigation he dismissed me and the things I had asked for. Do NOT use this company. read more

Seems to be the same problem as others, he was very quick to reply to start with and seemed very helpful until he said he had found her and I had to pay the fee to release the information. I was sent a random address and never lived there and have been trying to get in touch for a week now with him and no answer or call back, no reply to messages or emails and left many messages with office and heard nothing back. Do not use them, I was desperate abd feel I was taken advantage of. read more

Had an unfortunate experience with ukprivateinvestigators.com and Tim Burchell they did not deliver what was agreed and promised. Before I paid, they were all polite and promising, but after they took my money they just disappeared, I had to chase them for 6 weeks. And at the end they did not do what was agreed. Very unprofessional, I highly advise not to work with them. read more

I see that Yelp are STILL suppressing the genuine reviews and only showing the two fake reviews. Absolutely disgusting and extremely misleading for our clients! A Dallas business owner is accusing Yelp of hiding good reviews of his coffee shop after he refused to pay them for advertising. From a report on CBS Local: Bob Sinnott owns Toasted Coffee + Kitchen in Lower Greenville. He said after months of non-stop phone calls from Yelp, he claims his favorable rating dropped after he finally told the company he would not pay for advertising. "What I would compare it to, the mafia," said Sinnott. "You know, you do business with me or there's retaliation." Sinnott feels Yelp is hiding many of his 5-star reviews in the "not recommended" section because he chose not to pay for Yelp services.

This individual is a blackmailing scam artist and he is the most laughably idiotic 'investigator' I have ever seen. Avoid at all costs. I am compelled to give one star. The modus operandi seems to be too try and blackmail if you don't pay up immediately and then issue bogus and frivolous CCJ threats. The lowest form of life you can come across.
