The honors classes are like the new regular classes, they just throw students in them. Students hold no respect for teachers that give them the respect they don't deserve. The classrooms are a good size for all the the students. The bathrooms aren't always kept up with and don't always flush. Honestly Florida's quality of education is going down hill, they think all the test that are thrown at us will help us learn. Little do they know that they are only showing us how to pass test and not truly grasp the material we are supposed to know. They wonder why we don't remember what we learn a year after take the class.

I have been my sons advocate since first grade.i have worked with everyone of his teachers. Since…read morebeing at ForestLake it's been very difficult to help my son. He has Asbergers and needs attention to detail. The teachers are now t parent friendly treating is as the enemy. The majority of the bad grades come from missing assignments. However the parent does not. Usually know it's missing until the failing grade comes out on renweb. Last year I had a heart attack and during the time I was in the hospital his math teacher was missing assignments and never responded to y wife's emails when she tried to contact him. This was brought to the Principals attention who did nothing. The Math teacher was never held accountable for the failing grade he gave my son without any effort to accommodate his disability. The math teacher never responded to the email and caused my son to take a summer class. The schoology program they had for tracks by grades was not available to me for most of the year. I asked all of his teachers to show me how to access schoology but they all said the program was new and that they could not help me. Malichis chi has study hall where he was supposed to get help with his classes. The school said that I could not be allowed to tutor my son as they discontinued helping him because they said he was not prepared. I explained to them that I could help him but they refused to let me assist him during study hall. One of his teacher is stating that there are not retakes on tests and refused to let my son retake a test that she gave poor instructions on how to complete it. Missing assignments are a big portion of failing grades especially for African American males. The sad thing is most of the teachers don't realize it's missing before it posts to renweb. I tried to make the Principal aware but he continues to send me back to the teacher. Don't send your child to Forest lake if he has a disability. They talk a great is game but they intend to fail him m I f they can't fit him on n with the others. Pray for me and son that we may feel nosh this high school Journey.

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.

I gave it 4 stars, because I think their student record system should possibly include a copy of their student ID for clearer identification. I understand mistakes happen, however, through personal experience, it would help if staff (both permanent and temporary) had better accountability of students as far as who is who, especially when medical issues arise. The only other issue here is parking on even nights. It's not terrible, but sometimes, I wonder how the parents of over 1000 students are supposed to all fit their vehicles in that small little parking area? That is all... other than that, great school!

No matter if I have had to go in to pick my child up early or go in for a meeting with the counselors they have always been polite and easy to work with. I consider it an excellent school and plan on my younger two children attending there as well

I am truly disappointed by the current administration at Bishop Moore Catholic High School. It's…read moreclear that student well-being is not a priority. There have been multiple instances where students reported being bullied or harassed, and the school either failed to take action or, worse, appeared to protect the offenders--despite having clear evidence. Academically, the education offered is not significantly different from that of a public school, yet families are paying a substantial amount of money--essentially for a religion class. It's hard to understand where the tuition funds are going when some bathrooms have no air conditioning and there are roaches present in the facilities. Even more alarming is the repeated pattern of scandals involving teachers engaging in inappropriate relationships with students. Although these teachers are eventually fired, the fact that this has happened multiple times raises serious concerns about oversight and student safety. If you're considering Bishop Moore for your child, I would strongly urge you to explore other private schools--or even public schools--before making a decision.
