Someone should tell the owner a hair salon is a service related business. If your door is open and your lights are on, you're open for business. Turning a customer away, saying you're too busy is bad service. The salon has overhead, lights, insurance and supplies..of course profit is also desired. Turning a customer away is bad business. A new face is an opportunity. An opportunity for repeat business and referrals. Turning a customer away is bad manners, it's rude, it's ignorance, it's hillbilly. The classy and intelligent thing to do is greet the potential customer graciously and try to accommodate them. "I can squeeze you in after this perm, will that work for you?"
