n I went to Shear Envy for a haircut with Laryn who jacked my hair bad. The left side was an inch longer than the other. While I was there I made an appointment for six weeks for a trim. When I got there she was not, it seems she cancelled my appointment without telling me. I decided while I was there to make nail and pedicure appoint for the next week. When I got there at my scheduled appointment, the girl was late. When she got there she informed that a "Mexican lady" cancelled my appointment. I informed her no one in my household spoke Spanish. I then cancelled all my future appointments and said I would never use or recommend them. read more

I heard really great things about this place and the stylist Pricilla. My boyfriend wanted to get my hair cut for me since my birthday was in a few days and I was really excited. I made my appointment online with Pricilla to have just a cut and it was going to be $25. The outside of the salon looked just like a house and I wasn't sure if I was at the right place. Parking was in the back so I had to walk around the "yard" to get to the door. When I walked in I wasn't really greeted and was confused. She had me sit down just to get right back up to wash my hair. I was really surprised because she didn't seem at all very friendly and wasn't saying anything (....very awkward). After she was done washing and conditioning my hair she put this "stuff" on my hair, put a shower cap over my head and I sat under this dryer for 10 minutes. I was wondering what she was doing because, again, she never said anything to me and I never asked for anything other than a haircut. SO, after the 10 minutes I asked her if that was like a leave in conditioner or something and she replied with "it's a hair treatment"....umm ok? I had a picture of the style that I wanted my hair, simple layers and side cut bangs. My hair is thin and short so I didn't think it would be that hard to do. Yet again, I sat in awkward silence while she cut my hair, even my attempts to make conversation did nothing. When she was done, she asked if I wanted my hair "straightened or curled", even though I really didn't want either I said curled. It didn't really look like much was done. It was okay, but I wasn't impressed. It resembled nothing like the pictured I had shown her previously. She asked me if I was going to pay by cash or card and I said card. She then told me my total was $65!!!!! I was shocked because she had previously told me it would only cost $25. I asked her why it was so much and she said "the conditioning treatment." I told her that I never even asked for that...that she had just did it without her asking me. All I wanted was a haircut! I paid the $25, the price she initially told me it was going to be. She seemed aggravated but if she would've communicated with me better then we wouldn't have had any issues. I told her "thank you and have a nice day" and she ignored me. I won't be going back here ever again. It's a shame that I heard so many great things about her and this place and had a bad experience. read more

After having my hair completely jacked here, I will never go back. I tried to get into contact with the stylist to see if I could come back and have her fix my hair and she really made me feel like I was unimportant. I put all of my faith into the hands of one of these girls when I wanted 9 inches cut off of my hair and ended up with a completely crooked and not what I asked for hair cut. At the end of the day I spent $25 on a cut here and had to go spend another $30 to get it fixed totaling out to $55 not including tip. Thank you for wasting my time and money. read more
