No other shop around here even comes close to the atmosphere, attention to detail, or finished product I got at Westcott Barbershop. Doug gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever received, and I'll be a customer, moving forward. Update: I've been going to see Doug for close to two years now. He immediately knew my hair to a T. Doug is intuitive and observant. My angles and preference are perfectly stored in his muscle memory. He needn't ask me how I like this or how I prefer that. We'll chat instead about pretty much anything. I swear he understands my hair's growth so well that everyday between visits is like a new haircut. He's that good, and my cut seems to grow in proportionately rather than "grow out." His cuts age like wine. It's magic. Westcott has the kind of vibe that can turn my week around in 45 minutes.

When I found out some of the guys that used to work at the Shoppingtown Barber Shop were starting their own place, I was excited. The new location is beautiful with new chairs, wooden supply areas, and a nice cooler for bottles of water and the like. The guys also started selling their own hair products, and I can happily report their paste hair gel is excellent. Cuts are still $15 which also gets you a warm shave of your neck/ear area. They also offer a beard shave or trimming which I believe costs a little extra. Give these guys a look - they are in the Guitar Center Plaza if you're having trouble finding them based on the address.

This is her go-to facial spot and Mary is her go-to esthetician. I've never had a facial before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was also super nervous as I really don't like strangers touching me all that much, especially when I'm already stressed out. However, Mary was amazing! She totally put me at ease, and she did a wonderful job. She gave me a choice of essential oils to be used, and I really wish I could remember the one I chose, as it smelled really good. She also has the most calming personality. The salon is very clean, and the other staff were super nice. They sell and use Aveda products, which my friend swears by, though I have never used myself. By the time I left, my skin felt great and I was very relaxed. It was a great experience, and if I lived in the area, I would definitely book another appointment here with Mary and would also try out their haricut/color services.
