Well, this salon deserves a mention, for anyone who appreciates convenient, fast service, whether male or female. It's in an area that doesn't have a lot of barber shops, and they do a good job. If you are willing to brave the crowds near the Tallahassee Mall (the 533 SS Ln address is occupied by a competitor; and any local will know about the crowds) the people here do a good job while taking either walk-ins or appointments. If you are early, or if they need to call you when your walk-in slot comes up, the Borders just a few stores away is a comfortable place to wait. Occasionally CLOSED, then moves or reopens. Calling, probably trying to set up a reservation time, would seem especially important, but the decent quality of the place makes finishing the review seem worthwhile. To repeat, occasionally CLOSED, then moves or reopens.

I am so grateful that someone referred me to Mollie at Luna. Mollie not only knows how to do an epic bouncy blowout with a brush and dryer only, but she is outstanding at color as well! Then they…read moredisappeared, never got back to me about how the test strands came out, and did not send pictures of the test strands. I wasted two weeks of my time, and for their extremely strict rules and regulations, including filling out a contract for the service, the way they treated me was absolutely horrible and disappointing. The two strands of hair they took from my hair were in vain, and that is really upsetting. Lindsey, the owner, was the one handling this, and she handled it horribly. If this was the case for the owner, I couldn't imagine for the rest of the hairstylists. Lastly - the front desk person, Dorly, always had a condescending tone. I ended up losing in this situation, and I will never return, and I'd advise you to save your time and money and try elsewhere.

A review very much overdue. I've gone there twice already, two Saturdays in a row…read more It started like this. I was seeking a new hair salon given my move. A friend of mine said they really did a great job with her daughter's hair and that they didn't charge an arm and a leg. Add the fact that they're open on Saturdays and deal with all sorts of hair, well, count me in. I called some weeks back and managed to get a haircut and a dye job scheduled before an upcoming trip. Because of my schedule, I chose to go on a Saturday, and you should know that Soleil 7 has two locations. I had called the Lafayette location and they wound up attending me at the Market location instead. No matter though - everything is close in Tallahassee. Given how long the haircut and dye job (which essentially just wound up being highlights as I hate anything that requires high maintenance) would take, they split my stuff into two appointments. One weekend I went and got a haircut, the next I went and got some dye in my hair. Dasha was my stylist and she was super sweet. I'm sure I'll be seeing her for all my hair needs as I just thought she did a fabulous job. I walked out both times feeling beautiful. Also, shout out to the front desk. Sophia attended me my first session, Carol my second session. Both ladies were warm and welcoming and brought me drinks. I especially appreciated their cute coffee mugs. Definitely adds a nice touch. Oh, and one final caveat - I walked out with coupons and my friend, thanks to her recommendation, is likely to get a discount in the future. Score!
