The only realtor team I would go to after having them handle over 5 homes. OUTSTANDING!

Was blessed with success when meeting John Shea and his team of Real Esate Professionals. They were an answer to a prayer. I was amazed how easy it was for them to put my condo in tip top shape and get it on the market and have it sold in record breaking time. I was reluctant to hire a selling agent but I am glad I did. He saved me a lot of time and stress. read more

Our experience with Jon was really excellent. We worked with Shea Realty to sell our San Diego property. Jon and his team have superb knowledge of the area and many years in the business. We used Jon as our realtor before and were very comfortable with him. He is super personable, professional and down to earth. Jon and team worked extremely hard on our behalf, communicating at every step and getting us a great price for our property. read more

Jon is an exceptional realtor with extensive knowledge and expertise in the San Diego market. We have bought and sold with Jon a few times as he consistently is amazing to work with as both a buyer and seller. We cannot thank him and the team enough for a very smooth process to sell our most recent home in a quick amount of time. He was always a phone call away if any questions arose, and we are so grateful for all he did throughout the process! read more

Jon at Shea Realty is extremely rude and arrogant. I have never ever seen any real estate agent being so unethical and unprofessional. No wonder why he miserably failed in sales and marketing career that he started with and now abusing the business that his father established. I have no respect for someone who does not treat people with respect. I will certainly be filing a complaint with California DRE about Jon's unethical practices in real estate. Jon does not respect deadlines and also keeps his clients in dark. As a real estate agent he is supposed to share and discuss with his clients complete details of all transactions but he does not care at all. I wish I could share more details about my experience working with him but I must protect a few other people's identities who still have to work with him in some capacity. I feel sorry for them that they still have to deal with him. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM JON !!! There are hundreds of other well deserving real estate agents that you can find in the area. read more

Shea Realty is Outstanding! Jon and his team of experts made the process of selling so easy and and stress free. He goes above and beyond with the little details, like personally informing the neighbors about the open house so they could expect extra traffic that day. That's consideration and being aware of the details! There was some work to be done on the home and Jon took care of getting the work scheduled and done at great low prices with his contacts. No extra charge. No extra charge for staging the house. They kept us well informed and checked in often. Sold the house for considerably more than expected in record time. He knows the market! Truly, can't say enough good about Jon Shea and the Shea Realty team. read more

We simultaneously sold and bought a house with Jon recently and what could have been very overwhelming went extremely smoothly and without a hitch. Jon Shea and Shea Realty came to our mind naturally when we decided to sell our house in March 2023, which had been our residence in Rancho Bernardo for more than 30 years. During this period, we frequently received Jeff Shea and Shea Realty's advertisements and saw a lot of their achievements in media. Jon naturally took over Jeff's business as Jeff retired few years ago. They are extremely knowledgeable about the North County. Their business can thrive for two generations must have its virtue. That is why we decide to hire Jon Shea as our selling agent. We did interview a couple of other agents from different realty offices to confirm that our decision was correct. Without mentioning their names, one of the other agents apparently tried to lower our listing price to an unrealistic low price in order to get a fast sale which we refused to accept. In brief we sticked with our decision to use Jon as our agent. We had an amazing home selling experience with Jon, Jeff, and Paula! We had vacated our house for them to proceed the necessary repair work. They had coordinated and monitored the swimming pool maintenance, house cleaning, painting, the concrete work in the garage and house staging. Especially thanks to Paula for her diligently watering our garden plants while we were away. Jon was very professional, personable, knowledgeable, and always kept us informed throughout the process. We felt very confident in having him as our real estate agent. The final result was that our house was sold within two weeks for a price higher than we listed. We would highly recommend Jon Shea and Shea Realty to anyone who needs assistance with listing/selling their home! read more

When it became time for us to downsize, the only realtor we talked with was John Shea. Having known Jon and his dad Jeff for many years I knew that he would do a great job for us. He led us through all of the things that had to us be done and then received multiple offers the first week. All of the offers were well above our anticipated sales price. Jon was very proactive in keeping us informed of what was happening during the escrow process. All of his team were excellent and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Jon if you to want to sell a home. read more

READ BEFORE HIRING THESE PEOPLE We rented from Jeff Shea during 2020. They did not follow California laws on renting a home with a pool. We have two small children. After asking for months, they gave us "locks" that didn't work, stick-on door alarms that didn't fit and a out-dated cheap motion detector for the pool. They then told us we had to sign a additional paper saying we wouldn't sue them if one of our kids drowned..... A couple months later we noticed the tile floor was always hot and our gas and water bills were more than triple what they should be. We told them over and over but nothing. They actually told us it was the sun heating the floor.... In the middle of the night! We paid for our own plumber to come in to prove there was a slab leak. Next, our central heating broke in the middle of Winter. They told us to go buy our own heaters and blankets. Said we were being a nuisance and they were on vacation. Our house was almost in the 50s at night and my kids were freezing. It was beyond obnoxious. We searched all over SD looking for heaters and everywhere was sold out in the middle of Winter. They never offered to help or show concern for our children. We had a list of things that were broken around the house inculding multiple leaks. We were treated as nothing but a nuisance and next to nothing ever got fixed. When we asked over and over to be compensated for our outrageous water bills, Jeff Shea came over and gave us a crumpled up $100 bill. It was so obnoxious, pompous and degrading! Our water bill was more than triple of our neighbors the whole time we lived there. We just wanted to be compensated correctly and professionally. Toward the end of our lease we begged Jeff Shea to give us plenty of notice if they were not going to extend it. He promised he would give us 60 days notice and would not kick us out before Christmas. (Our rent was current and we were never late) JEFF SHEA GAVE MY FAMILY, WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN, A 40 DAY NOTICE TO VACATE, DURING THE PANDEMIC AND DURING A HOUSING CRISIS RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. We told him that this was against Covid laws and that we couldn't find housing. He told us it was just business. The truly disgusting part is that while they were doing this to our family, they were advertising on the radio that they were helping families during the Covid housing crisis!!! Now you know. Do you really want to give your money to these people? Please don't. read more

My husband and I recently had an outstanding experience with Shea Realty. Jeff and Jon Shea helped us to sell our house in Poway and buy another house in Rancho Bernardo. Over the years, we have worked with good realtors, but the Sheas were truly exceptional. They maintained the highest ethical standards in their dealings with ourselves and others involved in the transactions. Both Jeff and Jon were patient, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the North County housing market. The Sheas were always available to answer our endless questions, they provided invaluable advice and demonstrated remarkable diplomacy in all of their dealings with the parties involved. In addition, the two other members of the Shea team, Julie and Paula, were ever so helpful with all the paperwork. We unreservedly recommend Shea Realty. read more

My fiance and I used Ron Wilson of Shea Realty to sell and buy our new home. Ron was very responsive and walked us through the entire process of selling our home, and even got his a higher price that what we originally anticipated! We were so happy with him that we also used him as our buying agent as well. He was very responsive, sent us a ton of listings he thought we'd be interested in, and even picked us up and drove us to see the houses! At the end of it, he found us a home we loved and worked very hard to make sure it would be ours! He helped us through the paperwork process and would even drive to our work and hand deliver us documents! Once we closed on the house, he was still in contact and even let us borrow some of his tools since most of our stuff were still in boxes. He even recommended handymen and a plumber to us that had super competitive prices and did great work. Ron and the team at Shea Realty are so awesome. They make you feel like you are their only client, and 5 months later we are still bragging to our fellow homeowner friends about how much cooler our realtor is compared to theirs! read more

When I sold my home in Rancho Bernardo, I contacted Jon Shea who had introduced himself a few times by knocking on my door. I knew his dad had a wonderful reputation and had sponsored our yearly High Country West garage sale every year. Well, there isn't enough space to give both Jeff and Jon their well-deserved rave review. They are the exemplary caring and competent professionals. They are nice, honest, sincere, and total experts in their field. They also were fun to work with. They protected and guided me through every step of the process making it as easy as possible. They never were bothered by my questions or concerns and always treated me with respect and consideration. I consider them friends. They also got the highest price ever for my model. There's no way to thank them enough, but maybe this review will make a stab at it. I sadly could not work with them again in Orange County, and boy did I see the difference!! Sandy Dennis read more
